Just installed 2 new cartridges but yellow light
Follow this simple instructions:
Remove all the cartridges, clean the contact points on the cartridges and on the printer using soft brush/cotton dipped in alcohol/acetone /spirit.
While they are drying, reset your printer; Turn it off > Disconnect usb cable, power cord, inthernet cable; >remove the papers from the tray >open the back panel door (the rear door where you clear paper jam). Also turn of the main switch which the dc adapter plugged in. After keeping it Off for about 5 minutes, turn on again using only the power cord, and again leave it on for few minutes > turn it off > connect all the cables > again turn it On and keep pressing the power button while it boots up. Now you can install the cartridges.
If there's not internal problem or wrong cartridges number, then your problem will be definitely fixed.

Paper twisted while entering printer rollers and
Try to turn off the printer, open the compartment and check the roller. try to pull the paper and at the same time flip the roller in such a way that the paper will move out. If it is jammed and crumpled like what I exactly experienced earlier, remove the paper as fast as you can.
Turn on the printer, wait for the inkjet devices in a neutral position. Then insert the paper and start printing again. If it didn't work, try to hold the tip of the paper in horizontal manner while printing and make sure you remove the entire paper before the next page prints itself...
Have HP Deskjet 940c on Windows 7. Only drivers
Find another computer (laptop?) that is running Windows XP or Vista. Install the HP device-drivers.
Connect the printer to that other computer, and use the software to display the ink-levels.
I have unistalled driver and then reinstalled
ok if the printer is installed properly, what you have to do is:
1. go to start>printers and faxes. if your printer is installed it should be there (depends on your OS basic steps); if you see your printer in this folder, go ahead and right click on it, select "set as default" or "make default" and you would see a green check mark on your printer's icon, now you can close all of that.
When you are ready to print, make sure that your printer is selected and go ahead and click print.

The usb cable for your printer is the same for the PC, go to any store that sells usb cables and buy one. If you are near a wall mart or any travel store there are kits that you can buy with those adapters.

I understand that you are facing some problem while printing to your printer. Please follow the below steps to resolve your problem.
1. There may be many number of reasons for your problem like this. So rather than digging upon the reason, we can reinstall the printer driver once again to rectify the problem.
2. By reinstalling the driver, all kinds of problem due to improper settings and driver conflicts may gets rectified.
3. So goto control panel and remove all the drivers and softwares associated with your printer.
4. use the driver cd which came along with your printer to reinstall back all the drivers and printer applications once again.
5. Go for a system restart and now try printing your documents again and everything should work fine.
Regarding the print command window which you are asking about, it is the window in which you can see all the print jobs being sent to the printer and is waiting in the queue to get printed. using this window, we can restart / delete / stop / pause the print job.
1. To get the print command window, goto start -> printers and faxes.
2. you can also go via control panel -> printers
3. In that window you can see the list of all installed printer. Select your HP inkjet printer model and double click it to get its print command window.

if these indicators are on you have a problem with the new cartridges, the light will remain lighted until u fix the problem, did u use new carts? it is not a light that is reset, it only comes on for a reason.

Hi,
If the ink level is low in a print cartridge, the Print Cartridge Status light stops flashing when the printer’s top cover is opened. When you open the panel the ink cartridges slide to the center , as far as checking the ink level find and right click on the printer icon, click properties, and find ink cartridges and ink levels.
