Asus P4GE-MX
If you have your manual you can see how to connect these on pg. 1-22. No manual..
Starting from the right edge of the board moving to your left. Notice there is two rows of pins one above the other. All your case connectors will be connected left to right & not up to down. The first two (BOTTOM ROW) pins are for the reset switch. The connector will have two wires one will be colored white or black. These colored wires are ground & will be the sane for all your connectors. All grounds will face towards the right for both rows of motherboard pins. After plugging in the reset connector SKIP one pin as you move to your left along the bottom row. Plug in your IDE LED connector a two wire connector. Moving to the top row across from the ide led, plug in the Power Led. It is a two wire connector. Some case connectors for the power led come in a three pin connector. If yours is like that than you will need to remove the + wire from the connector & slide it over one slot so it is next to the ground & plug it onto the board.
The last two pins is for the Power button. All Asus boards are marked & colored. You need a stronge flash light to see the markings on the board. Good luck!

How to use a sync
Sync is usually an option on the Video Adapter.
Usually, set it on or off, or a scale, (default, never, application).
On the monitor, check the manual, and perhaps with others, setting sync on the monitor, has in the past, given me some problems.
No Power
try to check 5volts on processor, south&north Bridge.if ever no 5volts supply replace Q7&Q7.. also check the bios.
Usb ports did not work
Are the USB drivers for your motherboard installed correctly? If they are, you may need to enable the USB ports in your BIOS. Hit delete repeatedly while it boots up and enter the BIOS settings. Try to find something that indicates whether the USB ports on your motherboard are enabled.
Compatible processor
Yes, if you overclock you computer, I believe if you enter your bios of the motherboard, asus already has a pre overclock options. That is if your using a p4 2.8 ghz processor.
You can not put a 3ghz processor and overclock it to a higher fsb, your motherboard will literally smoke up but, most motherboards probably can easily detect a non compatible CPU.
Memory Issues
PC2700 (DDR333) memory and PC3200 (DDR400) are backward-compatible with PC2100.
Memory is designed to be backward-compatible, so generally speaking, you can safely add faster memory to a computer that was designed to run slower memory. However, your system will operate at the speed of the slowest module or system component (the "lowest common denominator" effect).
One thing to keep in mind is that the memory does need to be the same type-for example, SDRAM cannot be mixed with DDR, and DDR cannot be mixed with DDR2.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Good Luck,
Tim
How do I enhance my Asus PadFone X mini speaker loudness?
Look for a program called Sound Booster or one called DFX. DFX is my favorite because it not only boosts the volume, but lets you add other effects to enhance you sound as well. There is a free version. but to get all the effects you have to upgrade to the paid. If audio is important to you, check it out.
