check your RAM,look for stickers that indicates your memory speed & capacity (e.g. 512MB PC400 DDR)...if there's no sticker description count the pin,a DDR has a 184-pin DIMM...

Sorry but you cannot interchange ddr1 for ddr2. They are different kinds of RAM, and your chipset (865GV) can only accept ddr1. If you want to use ddr2, or even ddr3 then upgrade to a newer motherboard.
Board has DDR1 slot which is entirely different from DDR 2 slot , it will not support , you can find DDR1 ram for ur board from supplier of used/ obslete PC parts .
No you cannot use it .... *********** board will not support DDR2.... but if have the slot for both DDR1 then you can use DDR1.. but i will suggest you to use Ram for same memory .. But you can use 521 & 128 together , no problem.
thanks for rating
Good luck
If your computer has two RAM slots on the motherboard, i would recommend trying it. The computer will run on the 512MB stick alone and just not recognise the other stick. And if it works it works.
I have searced for support documentation and came up with none for the original MS-6526
I run my original version MS-6526 on a 512MB PC2300 (DDR1) and a 512MB PC3200 (DDR1) and it runs just fine for games and videos.
Personally I would recommend trying the DDR2 first and if that fails, return the card and get a DDR1 card. They are expensive, but at least they work.
Hey there,
Check for the slots given on your motherboard, whether all the slots are same; However a motherboard can support only one type of module either DDR1 or DDR2.
your motherboard has only DDR1 slots.
You cannot upgrade DDR1 to DDR2 cause the Memory Module or notches are different than eachother.
Gimme Acknowladgement by rating me.
