1. First You need to press the additional functions button on the front.
2. Select Report Settings button
3. Select Printer button under the Print List menu
4. Press either PCL button or PS button to print the appropriate config page.
5. Press Configuration Page button
6. Select Yes button to confirm printing of config page.

Open all three one-touch dialing panels. Press [DATA REGISTRATION]. Press [Down] arrow until <5.TIMER SETTINGS> appears, then press [Set]. Press [Set] again for Date / Time Setting. Use numeric keypad to enter info.

It should reset automaticly when you install the cartridge. Turn it off and unplug it for 10 sec. and try again.

Try sending your fax to a lower baude rate to 14,000 bps, I had this problem before and I solved it by sending to a lower sending speed bacause the line was very noisey.

Fixing unit failure, you have to change the fixing unit.

1) User data mode selection
Press the Data Registration button.

Service mode selection
Press the # button.

Menu item selection
Select the menu item by pressing the or up down button.

SERVICE MODE
#12 CLEAR Param.

select ALL

then OK

NG is just the error and not the problem, you have to read the code with the NG, it could be a phone line problem, a problem with the fax on the other end, a busy or not answered fax...any number of problems.

A fault occurred in the communication between the SCNT board
and ECU board/TOP signal cannot be detected

Line noise could cause trouble. I don't know if this unit supports VOIP phone lines. Many fax units require a genuine analog line or something that reproduces an analog phoneline.
Can you test the unit with a genuine analog line?

ITS INSIDE WHEEL PROBLEM. NOT A BIG DEAL BUT STILL WORRIED THEN MOVE TO NEAREST HP SERVICE CENTER

It means you didn't receive all of the pages of a transmission

If there is an error like a jam or something the machine will reprint the fax. Otherwise the fax is not available to print again after it's already printed successfully.

In the menu what is the function?It seems like you have the fax set for copy not fax.

To manually stop and restart the spooler service perform the following steps:

1. Click Start, click Run, type command, and then click OK.
2. Type net stop spooler, and then press the <Enter> key.
3. Type sc config spooler depend= RPCSS start= Auto, then and press
the <Enter> key.

NOTE: The spaces between = and RPCSS and = and Auto are important.
Without these spaces, the command will fail.

4. Type net start spooler, and then press the <Enter> key.

Try flipping open the one touch flaps, there is a button labeled <report> press and follow prompts.
