Someone has probably sent you a fax on 8 1/2 x 14 inch (legal size) paper. Pull down the manual hand feed tray which is located above the regular paper cassettes and place some legal size paper in it. Hopefully the fax will be outputted and the message will go away. Good luck.

E-246

Hi,

Thanks for using Fixya.

Error E-246 is related to counter memory.

First thing to do is take off the back cover and look at the main pcb's. Please remember to power down and remove power supply from machine first.
Any pcb that can be removed and re seated should be checked. check all conections to main boards and replace the covers. Power up and see if it all comes back on.

If the error persists, you will have to take ypur device to the canon service center.

Good luck and have a nice day.

No, What is Error E100

The error that is represented refers to the BD..

This is a hardware issue and the printer/fax will need service, Not all users can perform said service if you gave me a zip code I could look up some service providers in your area.

There are no said magic tricks here, We are indeed a Technological site and if we/I where at your location this solution would hen not be FREE it would cost. We only can provide Expert advice and that is unfortunate in your situation but the machine will need a repair shop.

Thanks Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at https://www.6ya.com/expert/edwy_1a56970cf1ea4620

When using both the FAX and COPY functions of the

Generally, when you have a ghosting problem, the issue is with the fusing unit. If you have a new fusing unit (or if you can get one) install the new unit and the problem should go away.

If you don't have access to a new fuser, you can try replacing the drum/imaging unit. Sometimes a ghosting problem can be caused by a bad cleaning unit (inside the imaging unit), but usually it's the fuser causing the problem.

How do you update name id?

Thank you for your question.

I have located the manual online for you to download for your convenience. It is a small download of 6Kb.

http://office.manualsonline.com/mdownloads/898a6efe-df1c-455e-b773-8c58a0fb3818.pdf

The procedure you need to follow is outlined on pages 1-16 to 1-20 and are user friendly. The size of the font can be increased at the top of the page of the PDF file, it is rather small.

Kind regards.
