Unless you have accident insurance then NO.
It's not covered any warranty because it's considered user damage.

I can't tell because it's covered up with black where the jack connects to the moterboard, but on MOST you are able to just swap the cables / jack and you are back in business.
Or you can find a local repair shop to do it. They usually charge about $100.

you can find the cable jack on ebay...I didn't see one by itself only those attached to motherboards.
I know that some, especially the older Toshiba's had them permanantly attached to the motherboard...so just do some research or ask sellers on ebay to take a look at the motherboard for you....most of the time if you ask nicely they'll do it.
