I believe I need to replace the internal battery

There is no internal battery on the Sony SRV-M37V. Presets are held in non-volatile RAM and don't need power to maintain the settings.

Your problem is that the hold switch is not disengaging. Either the contact below the switch has gotten gummed up and won't release, or perhaps the switch is broken.

You can try spraying a tiny (very tiny) amount of Contact Cleaner (available at Radio Shack for less than $5) into the switch. Or disassemble the unit to see why the switch isn't making contact like it should. Hope that helps!

After battery ran low, now

Make sure you don't have the HOLD button engaged. This button is what keeps your station buttons, power, etc., from accidently switching when you bump it.

This button is found on the top right hand side of the radio if you are looking down on the radio with the clock display facing you.

If the button is showing the red painted mark, you have the HOLD button engaged. Switch it off, and then press the Power button to turn on the radio.

No sound

If you are getting AM sound, but not FM, its because the headphones you are using are shielded for interference. This shielding is what is causing you not to be able to pickup FM, as the headphone wires are what is used as an FM antenna for the unit. Try using a CHEAPER set of headphones (Yes, I said cheaper). Cheaper headphones usually don't have the shielding. Usually these types of headphones have both wires for the headphones bound together as one wire.

The left side sound is out

This can be a failure of the connection jack inside the unit or the electronics that supply the signal to the headphone connection. Connectors like this can be purchased at radio shack. The unit will need to be opened up by removing the screws in the back to see if the jack is loose or damaged. You can then plan your next move. be it re solder the existing connector or replace the connector entirely. if you are lacking solder skills locate someone who can help or take the unit to a shop.

No more TV on Sony TV/weather/fm/am walkman srf-m37v.

There's nothing you can do. With the switch to digital broadcasting, the sound isn't on the same frequencies it used to be so this radio can't pick it up. Right now, nobody's offering a digital receiver for the sound. All your radio is good for now is the regular radio and weather broadcasts.

My Sony model # MHC-V11 MAKES NO SOUND everything seems to operate but i cant get no sound from it

Troubleshoot this issue. Here are some steps you can follow: Check Speaker Connections: Ensure that the rear surround speakers are properly connected to the Audio/Video (A/V) receiver. If applicable to your model, verify that the A/B speaker selector is set correctly. If the speakers are connected to the A speaker connection, the selector must be set to the A position. Test Tone Operation: Perform a test tone operation to check if the speakers are functioning correctly. Increase the rear speaker volume or adjust the surround speaker settings to the maximum level. Speaker Size Settings: Try selecting a different size (small or large) for the rear surround speakers in the menu. Surround Sound Mode: Verify that the A/V receiver is set to a surround sound mode. For Dolby ProLogic surround sound, ensure that the center-channel mode is set to NORMAL or WIDE. If your source is a DVD or Blu-ray Disc player, check that surround sound is enabled in the player's menu. The audio being received must be multi-channel. Different Surround Sound Mode: Try setting the A/V receiver to a different surround sound mode. Source Content: Verify that the source you are playing is encoded in surround sound. Note that during periods of mainly dialog, most of the sound may come from the center speaker only, with audio coming out of the rear speakers when there is background or ambient noise. Factory Reset: Reset the unit back to factory default settings (consult your operating instructions for model-specific steps). If applicable, follow the steps for calibrating the appropriate settings automatically after connecting the calibration microphone device. Speaker Wires and Replacement: Check and replace the speaker wires if necessary. Consider connecting a different pair of speakers to see if the issue persists. If you've tried these steps and the problem remains unresolved, I recommend seeking professional service.

My Sony DHC-FLX7D and DHC-FLX5D is not working due to humidity. Is it possible to repair it ?

steps to troubleshoot and potentially repair them: Troubleshooting Low Sound or No Audio from Rear Surround Sound Speakers: If you're facing audio problems, especially with the rear surround sound speakers, consider checking the following: Ensure that all speaker connections are secure and properly plugged in. Verify that the speaker wires are not damaged or frayed. Check the speaker settings in the system menu to ensure correct configuration. Inspect the speaker impedance and compatibility with the system. If you're using wireless speakers, check their power supply and connectivity. Refer to the operating instructions manual for specific troubleshooting steps. Flexible Circuit Board Repairing: If the issue is related to internal components, you might need professional repair. However, if you're comfortable with electronics, consider these precautions: Keep the soldering iron temperature around 270°C during repairs. Avoid touching the soldering iron on the same conductor of the circuit board more than three times. Be gentle when soldering or unsoldering to prevent damage to the conductor. Important Notice: To prevent fire or shock hazard, avoid exposing the unit to rain or moisture. Do not open the cabinet; refer servicing to qualified personnel. Avoid installing the appliance in confined spaces like bookcases or built-in cabinets.
