unplug the tv and press and hold vol_ and input from tv and plug in tv will go to servive menu then select initil function and press ok tv will go to green screen unplug the tv and plug back in after five seconds . k will be removed

Go into the setup menu and do a channel search again selecting digital and analog channels. Then change the input type to cable and you should get your channels back.

U can tries take out the batteries,pushes all the buttons a couples times,wait awhile put batteries back,see if that solved ur problems.Not the remote is garbage now.Remote control have dead CPU chip or it CPU is short will have some functions lelf,remotes devices are heavily depend on it CPU chip.This can't be repair,because it just a circuit board and a CPU chip about it on the remote control,that it.Try website like Remotes.com to buy an original remote or very close to it.

How are you connecting it to cable tv?

If you are using a coaxial cable to a cable box you have to turn to channel 3.0 with a Sharp remote by pressing 3.0 enter the dot (.) is down by the 0. There is a way around this if you don't have a Sharp remote. You can go into the menu and complete a channel scan. If the model you own is the one pictured then you should have the coax cable connected where it says analog if you are connecting to a cable box this way.

If you are using composite, component, or hdmi cables you press the input button on the television and pick the right input. It is recommended that you do not use the coax cable anyway unless you do not have a cable box. There is an input button on the television and on the remote.

There could be a few reasons. It could be the connected device. There is a problem with dish network and they have acknowledged it. Try viewing a DVD if the DVD player is connected to the television on a different input. If the DVD sound is at an acceptable level than you can rule out the television. if you can open the TV try to connect external speaker to be sure that its the speakers and not the amplifier on the main Circuit

my sharp aquos flat screen has a low volume, even when turned up to max. how can i increase the volume

It could be cables, but unlikely, definitely not a setting on the Aquos, it could be a setting though on your old dvd player. Go into the DVD player menu / setup and look for SOUND / VOLUME and many times it will have an adjustment such as +1 +2 +3 and 0, then -1, -2, -3, meaning thats how much it amplifies the default sound of the DVD. Turn this up all the way to the highest setting, it should have something like this. If not then I would replace the DVD player.

This is caused by a defective spacer under the A / V board. This is not recommended for owner repair, since it involves removal of other PCBs, Sheilds and "spacers" and connectors. On the A / V board ( the one with all the jacks ), is an audio IC that normally runs fairly hot. Therefore, the MFG had to use an aluminum heat sink on the top and bottom of the IC. The problem is that there is a "clay like " spacer pressed between the bottom PCB at the audio IC and an aluminum plate, or heat sink, underneath that sets against the metal back of the LCD panel. Here is what happened; The "spacer " turns into a "sticky goop" causing the whole pcb move towards the Heat Sink under the A / V board. This causes the connections at A / V pcb at the audio IC to come in contact with the bottom aluminum heat sink, thus shorting out the audio IC and then no sound or popping noises. This is common on the D4 and D6 models.We charge about $325 for this repair since it is very time consuming.

Need to replace the electrolytic caps on power supply, or the power supply.

Thanks for using FixYa. From what you have described it seems the issue is with the power board or the main board and we'll need to check few things. When you open the unit up; take a look at the power board-the board where the power cords/plugs goes into. You might see some filter capacitors a little bulged up in the top-If this is the case-this is your defective part(you can try to replace them-but some soldering equipment is needed). If not, then probably the main board has gone bad. This is the other board-where all the inputs are going into. All this is only recommended if you have electrical expertise and know how to solder/re-solder components. Please note that the TV components consists high voltages even when in off position. Please accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Let verify first to narrow down to where the problem can be, attach the powered PC speakers to the Audio Line out RCA jacks to see if you can get the sound there, if you do, then the problem can be in the power amp circuits, if you do not get the sound at RCA jacks, then the problem can be in the sound processor circuit. Please post back what you find. You may be better off if the sound does work through the PC speakers, to get the TV repaired; it will be more than $100 and up.

Switch you TV on and use the remote control only 
1. Press 'open/close' button (the draw should be left open).
2. Press the 'clear' button.
3. Press '1'.
4. Press '3'.
5. Press '6'.
6. Press '9'. 
7. Press '0' (zero for multi-region).
8. Press 'open/close' button.
