Hope it helps.Problem:Every time I turn on the TV, the Guide is on the screen Solution: The GUIDE Plus+ system automatically appears on the screen when you use the TV button on the remote to turn on the TV. You can turn off this feature by pressing GUIDE on your remote control and then select the Menu bar. Press the right arrow button to select Setup. Choose Review options and select OFF.

you have to check for a loose contact at the main board then you can check the flyback transformer which have leak. the the high voltage is arching at the picture tube.

I don't think the model listed here has that feature as its several years old, Not much support for these sets--there will be if it has a password a default that will always work, if 4 numbers try all the same number one at a time.

1) test the power supply for color you will get +12Vdc.2) test a) demo color b) ampli out for color some is defective. see the block attached.God bless you

Picture tube failure is very rare. It sounds that the horizontal output transformer, that supplies voltages to picture tube to work are not present. A damaged horizontal output transformer might be the fault. Contact any experienced service technician. This is a repairable fault.

what is this TV's modle #?

The repair of this problem will be near to or exceed the cost to replace it with a new flat screen. With TV prices at an all time low due to slack demand it is not cost conscious to repair it.

The problem is the tact switches on the front panel board inside the set. The entire "keyboard" can be ordered and installed. Have your model number ready. Just call Encompass Parts 1-800-638-3328 for information. If you are not registered as a repair center you will be charged retail price.

Did this unit fail after a power outage or passing storm? If so could be lost of component in the low voltage power supply circuit or degausing relay circuit. I would strongly suggest you seek help from a qualified repair center. Don not attempt to repair yourself...to dangerous.

1. replace the power transistor at the horizontal section of your tv by desoldering . and buy with the same value, the store assistant in your area will do help you replacing the defective part of your tv. Thank You.

Child lock require a password,to used the tv.Try website like Remotes.com to buy an original remote.

There is leakage of electrolytic capacitors in sound output section,if you are technical person check and replace the capacitors.

Would that be the scan coils? If so the only place would be through an RCA seller or maybe a tube could have one already fitted. Try the manufactures web site for guidance on a local dealer to you.

Your power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors.These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable,and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.
