Deffective power supply its a major repair,Theres a shorted parts in power supply.Need for repair technician.Who knows and troubleshoot the power supply.

The failure with plasmas when the TV turns on but doesn't show any video only audio, the failure is with a defective Ysustainer board. The hybrid IC that is located under the aluminum heatsink becomes defective due to the excessive heat when the TV is functioning.
I would suggest that if you're fixing the TV yourself to measure the voltages from the power supply to the Ysustainer board to isolate the failure, if all the voltages are present then check any fuse on the Ysustainer board first. If any fuse is blown, then the Ysustainer board will need to be replace. Most service techs will replace 3 boards when this failure occurs. The Ysustainer, Zsustainer and main digital controller boards.

This is a rather serious problem. Sometimes its the buffer board but sometimes its the panel itself(phosphors don't charge in a particular area of the PDP). If this caveman trick works on your tv, then its the panel itself

you will have to use the (get the gold) RCA jacks (unless you have hi def cable box then you will use the red,green blue jacks ) out from the cable box..

Rehook everythings,reboot ur box,by turn off/on.Go ur tv menu select for recan channels slect Cable.After rescan everythhngs shoud be back to normal.

You may need a pixel fixer, that can be found at Wal-Mart!

Unfortunately, what you're describing is a repair issue. You won't be able to address the problem with troubleshooting. There is a part inside the TV that needs to be replaced. If you're under warranty, this will cost you nothing. If you're not under warranty the cost will likely be a minimum of $200 parts and labor. However, be warned that the cost could be considerably higher.

Open the back cover and check any fuse blow in Y Sustain board or Z Sustain board. If you do find the fuse gone, replace the board. Good luck!

im afraid to say your display has gone contact funai they should be able to help you replace the display.

Yes, this problem can be fixed.
Unplug TV from AC oultlet for couple of minutes and replug back in and power up.
