When I attempt to light
Hi
Some of the probable causes to your problem are:-
Blow into the little holes where the gas comes out.sometimes they get clogged with water after washing them or something is spilled on them. sometimes this is the solution.
If ithe spark gap on the igniter is plugged with food, clean it with a small brush and rubbing alcohol. Do not scrape.
On some ranges if the burner is rotated when cleaned and is in the wrong position, it will not light.
Or a cracked electrode ignitor or bad wire to the ignitor can stop/prevent the spark from sparking at the correct spot and lighting the burner.
Sometimes the problem is a bad ignition switch too.

All 4 electrodes spark when only one is turned on
Electric gas igniters sometimes get stuck in one position causing a clicking sound. The clicking sound that you hear is the electric arc that is pulsing from the igniter conductor (wire) to ground (the gas burner). It receives power from the electrical outlet that the stove is plugged into.
Residue from food and sometimes cleaning products may be preventing the igniter from producing a spark (Arc) to the base of the burner. This is a common problem that occurs when the stove has been cleaned or food is allowed to build up. Make sure that the igniter and the burner base are clean and dry. This will help with proper operation. Oven cleaner and a small tooth brush may be used to accomplish this. Another problem with ignition may occur if you have too little (touching) or too much space between the igniter and the base of the burner; it will prevent the burner from igniting. You should only have a little more space than the thickness of a nickel between the burner base and the igniter. A good "blue" arc from the igniter to the burner base is optimal. If this doesn’t work, you may need to replace the electric igniter module. Good luck.
We havent purchaced this cooktop yet but are
It would be a good idea to plan for an outlet for the cooktop. most do use 120 volts for the spark device. Locate it behind or below the cooktop so it will not be confused with your countertop outlets.

The igniter on the right front burner of my GE Gas Cooktop
all burner igniters work at the same time - you may have a faulty electronic spark unit. change the spark unit. go to repair clinic dot come for the unit. also would be wise to check the ingniter start switch on the gas burner control knob

hi.gud day...tnx for question.im gerbee here in the phillipines, the problem of the the unit is have an dirt or water,& oil coz why the unit is not stoping cliking sound.the best thing to is clean the area were the problem it is,first unplug the unit & turn in off the gas line for the safety..get the vacium & bottle of thinner...first remove all the knobs of the control valve(make sure to remember how to remove the knobs coz if turn back as how you remove it). then drops some thinner located on valve switches(knobs position) 5-10ml,,,then put the vaccium in the place were u drop the thinner to suction the thinner, oil & some dirt.try 2 times for good result...after this if is not work n nid to call an expert tecnician to dismantle & clean the micro swicth one by one(no nid to replace the parts)
tnx gerbee
