or bios fails too. but wait this silly PC as SHRUNK keyboard horrors some are not too bad others are extreme. as in ,no keypad real, and no real Fn keys and funky Fn button and needs special rules to maKE BIOS WORKS and is covered in the manual. but this is yours,right? so has real F1 to f12 has real Fn key not some lame 3 way shifted key as bad PCs have. the coin cell dead is first. no PC on earth runs right with bad coin or bad HDD. 1. that means power off the PC, fully, even remove huge battery
2. and AC power pack
3. put back only AC power pack and push power for 10 full seconds and release and quickly at splash samsung ,hammer the f2 key. like like woodywoodpeckerbird, and bios Page1 happens if fails repeat all this. Keep old battery out.

I too had this problem with my NC10, and i found that on the back, the little slider holding on the battery casing was not in the locked position. As soon as I locked the slider, the problem was solved and has not occurred again.Might not be the case for all these posts above, but worth checking your before having to get involved with customer services etc.
