Many thoughts on that out here. I have seen 30,000 miles on a well keep 883. Then it was re-ringed and may not have needed it. Taking care of your bike not only means changing the oil, and doing reg. maintenance things, but driving her with longevity in mind. But when one has a cool Harley one does not want to drive it like a Little old lady. So, we have drive in the gap of "I'm cool, but I don't need to smoke the road, cause I want to be driving this thing 20 years from now". Now if you want, I will drive yours for you, to see just how far I can go. Be sure to clean it up nice before you bring it over.
Well, this is an impossible question to answer. There are simply too many variables that one must consider not to mention the unknowns. I've seen the bikes with as much as 75K miles on the bottom end running well. Top ends need freshening up from time to time. Depending on how a person rides the bike has a lot to do with how often this has to be done.
