The most likely reason is that you have bad batteries that weren't looked after before you got it. Take it to an Interstate Battery outlet and they will test the batteries for free. It literally takes 2 minutes.
not really enough info to diag this problem but a good educated couple of guesses would be the regulator went bad or the magneto went bad or? the battery is loose and or disconnected the screws routinely rattle out of the threads if that turns out to be the case just put thread lock a glue type stuff around the threads then tighten let sit overnight to cure...but my true guess is either magneto (big job) or regulator not such a big job except where to find it on your bike give more info so I can help nail it down please
this sounds like an external voltage regulator issue..when it gets hot or shuts itself off the battery is whats running the vehicle..until the operating voltage drops below minimal.. then it all stops..get the charging system checked at a parts store.. they do it for free..
sounds like no voltage from the charging system. check for poor connections especially ground check output from alternator and check regulator thats all there is to it
