How do i lower the throttle pin on 2001 ktm 300 exc

if you need you bike jetted for 7000, take it to a shop and have it jetted.
If you dont understand your carburetor and make the wrong adjustment you can lean out and blow up the engine.
when you jet a bike for 7000, you need to change everything, main jet, idle jet, idle mixture, idle, and needle position.

easiest fix is to run a non synthetic oil to help the rings sea,l wont seal for about 20 hours of ride time, about two oil changes. The rings and cylinders were hardened for long gevity.

My ktm 450 exc 2005 burns oil and makes blue smoke and I have got oil in airbox but i dont know why it is burning oil. What could it be. Please help

this is usually because of a few things,,,check,,,, and maybe change your plug,,,check gap,,,,adjust your carb,... it sounds like it is way to rich,,,,,lean it out a little,,,,,,and the worse problem,,,,,your rings on the piston may be getting worn,,,,and allowing oil to seep by,,,thus,,going into your airbox,,,,,,and combustion chamber,,,,, then blue smoke,,,,, take a compression check if all else fails,,,,,,, this will tell you if your rings are bad,,,,,, JOEL

My 2000 300 exc it will still get into band but is gutless down low is that my rings

It could be worn out piston rings. But it could also be many other things, like: plugged up slow jet circuit in the carburetor, an air leak between the carburetor and the engine, excess carbon buildup inside the exhaust pipe - or in the exhaust port.
First, I would check the compression. WIth the gauge attached and the throttle held wide open, several good kicks of the kick starter should reveal at least around 100 psi of compression. If it's much lower than that, plan on new rings - or re-boring the cylinder to the next oversize and go with a new piston and rings.
And keep in mind that two stroke motocross engines are all relatively gutless at low RPM.

Ktm sleeves

DON'T SLEEVE. It is almost as cost effective to have the cylinder welded and re nik-a-sil'ed. Sleeves don't have as good of cooling effect and rarely yield the same performance. not to mention you have to run an oddball piston and hone it. re nik-a-sil and don't let the ring go too long next time and you'll have years of trouble free service.

How to recharge rear shock on 2008 300 ktm

08 needing recharged? if it needs recharged it probably needs new seals. it's cheaper to send it to http://www.factoryconnection.com/index2.htm than to take it to a dealership or buying the equipment needed to do it yourself $$

an alternative......convert it from pds to bladder and make rebuilding easier

I had no compression with my 08' KTM 250 XC-F and took it apart to find it was all carbon'd up. I'm guessing it was cause the breather from the valve cover to the intake was blowing oil. I put new piston...

it should line up at tdc when the piston is on the compressing stroke at the top off the barel so basically when its just about to spark get back to me if not ok
