I tippped bike over at standstill. It was showing check on display when it died. side stand was not pressing piston in far enough to stop check. I fixed this and no check anymore, but now engine turns over but will not fire up ever since then.

Question moved from Power Motorcycles.

The Tip Over Sensor is under the seat. From the Service Manual, the last link

When the motorcycle tips over, the tip-over sensor sends a signal to the ECM. Then, this signal cuts OFF current supplied to the fuel pump, fuel injectors and ignition coils.

My 2008 1250S Bandit, stalls throuigh fuel starvation with 4.5 litres still left in tank. Fill up again...and rus perfectly. What might cause fuel starvation at pump to occur with so much fuel left.?...

Fuel can not go out of the tank unless air can get into the tank to fill the void created by pumping fuel out. The gas cap has a vent built into it Chances are the vent is plugged up. The next time the problem happens, open the cap to let air in then close the cap back down. If the problem instantly goes away you now know the cap needs to be cleaned or replaced.
