I have had the same issue with Toro. Finally took it to a local wizard. AFter about 5 minutes if him trying he suggested it would make a great boat anchor. Once Toro goes out of factory specs, that's just about it. A few lucky folks I know with Toro products either accidentally stumble on the just-right combinations or off to the lake they go.

No, I do not have the answer, but maybe something in the below will help you find out.
Terry Thomas, who indeed appeared on ATV's Angling Today in the 70's, does not appear to have notice of his death posted in the sources I have checked, including the Sunday Times obituaries for all UK counties. He appears to have published Casting: A Text Book of Fishing Casts in 1960. I have no idea if its flyleaf would contain enough information about the author to allow you to narrow the search by knowing his county of birth. Even recordings of the old show might not offer any biographical information.
Perhaps a trial membership at the following site might pull up some information but you would have to search using a wide range of years and might end up with merely a list of people you could not narrow down without further information. If it gave a location of deaths, you might then be able to track an obituary in newspapers covering the relevant counties.
I have no idea if contacting Chris Tarrant's agent, Paul Vaughn, with an email enquiry would result in any response from Chris about Terry. Chris became a notable TV presenter.
Confirm the park brake is off. If a hydro-static drive tractor starts but engagement of the operator controls for the transmission drive results in neither a forward or reverse drive of the mower itself, the operator should check that the manual bypass controls have not been left in the activated (bypass) position.
Look in to where the lever connects and confirm the movement. You should be able to hear the hydraulic oil with a slight whine as you activate the drive forward pedal!

I know you had the starter tested but i still thing you have one of two things going on here, first acid damage to the Positive battery cable at the battery, if this is present you will notice the outside of the cable seems swelled yo under the red insulator, this causes low voltage, enough to click the starter solenoid but not enough to turn the starter motor. The other problem is burnt contact inside the starter solenoid itself, this problem will cause a clicking noise from the solenoid with no starter engagement, it very common. The starter solenoid is near the battery just follow the Positive cable from the battery to it, carefully jumper across it, does the starter engage? Here is a picture of the starter solenoid.
I don't know about the SA-7, but the SA-5 doesn't have an on/off switch as such. Pressing the shutter button halfway activates the autofocus and turns on the light meter. The camera switches off after six seconds of inactivity to conserve batteries, though the shutter can still be released accidentally. Turning the mode dial to the "L" position will lock the shutter and prevent accidental release.
