Suzuki VS 800 Intruder won't start unless jumped.

Question edited for full make and model names.
Question moved to model category.

Could be a bad relay and they are easy enough to rest. The problem with bikes is corrosion. Involved in starting, is the battery, the battery connections, the starter button, the relay, and the starter solenoid and its connections. Break all the connections, clean with a wire brush until shiny, smother them with Vaseline and do them back up. Vaseline stops oxidization and also transmits electricity. Ideas in this link from owners regarding corrosion.

Cooling fan dont work

If you let the bike sit and idle for about ten minutes and the cooling fan doesn't come on, it usually means your radiator fluid is low. The sensor to turn on the fan sits at the top of the radiator. So if it doesn't come on after the bike gets up to heat (this can take a LONG time in cold weather), you need to flush your radiator. Intruder Alert Suzuki Intruder and Boulevard Owners Club

Have a 2000 Suzuki Intruder 800. Back cylinder

When cleaning a multi carb bike, it is best to take them all off. Clean and reset float levels on both. Then reinstall, set both idle mixture screws about 1 turn out. Then adjust, and you'll probably have to syncronise them also.

Starts fine. sounds fine but dies upon putting it in gear

Your kickstand switch is either broken or out of position. The bike kills the engine as a safety feature if it thinks the sidestand is down and the bike is put in gear while the engine is running.
