I have a 2005 Yamaha Road Star 1700,with carb. Calls for regular gas but i'm afraid of the Ethanol, some places 20% now. it runs a bit loader on the higher octane, which worries me to. any comment

The float in the carburetor is stuck. It will require removal and cleaning to provide a permanent solution. Try striking the offending carburetor with a hard object,(screwdriver handle or such) if the flow stops, that is the problem.

Definitly Premium. Do not use any Ethanol blend fuels.

SOURCE: Carb Float Chambers

The image below is a diagram of your carburetor, as seen from the bottom. Loosen the drain screw and the gasoline will drain through the drain tube.

no it does not come stock with 4 way flasher, there is a way to add
if you want them.

Yes,, and no.. depending on what you put in it... you DO NOT need additives for a motorcycles... USE a GOOD QUALITY Gasoline!!!

Drain the tanks and the carbs...

Fuel overflow problem with 2007 roadstar silverado 1700, gas runs out the carburator onto the ground--sometimes won't crank--

Gas running out of the carb indicates that the internal float valve is not shutting off the flow when the float bowl fills up. Might need cleaned; might need a new float valve assembly. Not cranking is an electrical problem. If you mean that the engine cranks over but doesn't start - then this could be a related carb problem. Take the bike to a reputable repair center near you.
