Lift off the seat

If you are looking for more power then take it in and have it done properly but changing just the exhaust won't change the fuel mix into the engine it will only quicken the flow of gasses from the exhaust and expell them quicker out of the pipe.

Most likely there is something wrong with the kickstand switch - have it checked. Then remove the pump and test it separately on the bench.
If both are good then you had a short in the wiring from the water - have the entire harness tested.

There are two plugs that need to be removed. One on the side of the crank hidden behind the frame and another under the oil tank next to the rear shock mount.

The headlight and turn signals have a fuse located behind the left side oil cover.

Behind the left side oil cover under the seat. Remove the bolt on the cover and pull it off.
