Hi, I have some experience with this unbekievable good headlight(when it works).
I had a hp10 what started to stop more and more.
After a while it wasn't going on.
5 years warrenty, so i got a new one, the new model.hp11
The main problem is the wire from battery case and the head led.
When there a litte damage inside this wire, light goes of not going on it selfs when it connecting again. After a while it will not work any more.
(if you have a welding station you fix it your self (battery case, can go open by unscrew the wire entrance.)
Chack battery case if the springs are all still connecting the battery.
If you put in one battery false on there is short cut and al sprigs get so hot they will shrink. And stay in that position..fix that your self or ring/ contact the shop you bought it.
There 5 year of garrantie.
wonderfull

Hi or low , or none work ? Could be a few reasons for not working , Looking at a wiring diagram to see what controls the headlamps would be the first thing to do. Free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free-tsb Enter vehicle info. year , make , model ,engine size. Under system click on lighting , then under subsystem click on headlamps . Click the search button ,then the blue link . On the top right of the diagram i see fusible link's for B+ voltage for the headlamp switch , could have blown fusible link . The switch is right below an to the left is the headlamp relay ,relay could be bad , the headlamp dimmer switch could be at fault etc... Testing the electrical circuit's with a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter is the way to find the problem . Electric Testing Techniques You Need to Know
from the diagram I looked at, voltage to headlamp switch is hot all the time. The headlamp switch has an internal circuit breaker. When you turn on headlamps, the voltage goes from headlamp switch to dimmer switch then to the headlamps. You could have problem with dimmer switch?

You can try using it and hope that it will work. If it doesn't then you will have to buy a new one. Don't worry nothing bad will happen to your printer.
Hi marlyn engaling... Sounds like you need to replace your bulb, it may be burned out. Also check the switch and also make sure the spring in the back of the flashlight is touching the battery tightly to make good contact. Bud
It's the headlamp relay #46. If you want to test it, swap it out with the cooling fan relay #45 and see if your headlights work. If they do you know this is the fix. Found the solution online a couple of years ago and it was spot-on. The part was $45 at autozone at the time.
The silverstar bulbs while brighter, have a considerably shorter life span than conventional bulbs. If the headlights are dim, it would mean a bad electrical connection most commonly a bad ground. If they are just too dim for your liking and burn at the normal brightness, you might want to consider having auxilliary headlamps installed.
