Kymco 990 Super Duke Black - Popular Questions, Answers, Tips & Manuals
Been setting for 3yrs and will not kick over
SOUNDS LIKE CARB NEEDS TO BE TAKEN APRT AND CLEANED VERY WELL AND MAKE SURE YOU ARE GETTING SPARK IF YOU ARE GETTING SPARK AND THE PLUG IS GOOD THEN I WOULD PROCEED WITH THE CARB AND IF THERE IS ANY GAS IN IT GET RID OF IT AND START WITH FRESH GAS
It won't run and dumps
The problem is a bit of trash is preventing the float needle from closing fully to stop the flow of gas. Try this; drain the float bowl then close the drain and turn on the gas. Tap the float bowl solidly with the end of a screwdriver handle. The object is to free up the float / shake loose the trash. If doing that a couple of times does not fix the problem, Remove the float bowl and spray the interior of the carb using spray carb cleaner. Pay special attention to the float pin area. With the float bowl off you should be able to gently lift and lower the float. Lifting should shut off the gas and lowering should let the gas flow again. If the float shuts off the gas when raised, put the float bowl back in place and see if the carb still over fills. If so, then the float is defective and you will need a new one. Please rate my answer. Thanks.
Is there a main fuse that would of blown if I hooked my charger directly up to the + and - terminals on the starter on my 09 kymco venox 250 motorcycle?
Yes, there is likely a main fuse in your 2009 Kymco Venox 250 motorcycle that could have blown if you connected the charger directly to the + and - terminals on the starter. Many motorcycles have a main fuse located close to the battery or the fuse box to protect the electrical system from overloads and short circuits.
When you connect a charger directly to the starter terminals or other critical electrical components, you risk damaging the electrical system and causing a short circuit. If there was a surge of current due to improper connection, it could have blown the main fuse to protect the rest of the electrical components on the bike.
To troubleshoot the issue and restore power to your motorcycle, follow these steps:
- Locate the Main Fuse: Check your motorcycle's manual or service documentation to find the location of the main fuse. It is often located close to the battery or in the fuse box.
- Inspect the Main Fuse: Remove the main fuse and visually inspect it. If the main fuse is blown, you will see a break in the metal strip inside the fuse. Replace the blown fuse with a new one of the same amperage rating.
- Check Other Fuses: Even though you mentioned that all the fuses are good, double-check all the other fuses in the fuse box to ensure none of them have blown.
- Check Battery Voltage: After replacing the main fuse, check the voltage of the battery using a multimeter. Ensure the battery has enough charge (around 12.6 volts or higher) to power the electrical components.
- Reconnect Charger Properly: If the battery voltage is low, connect the charger properly to the battery terminals (positive to positive and negative to negative) and charge the battery until it reaches an appropriate level.
- Recheck Power: Once the battery is charged and all fuses are confirmed to be good, turn the key on and check if the lights and gauges receive power.
If you have followed these steps and still do not have power to the motorcycle, there might be other electrical issues caused by the improper charger connection. In that case, it's recommended to seek the assistance of a qualified motorcycle mechanic or electrician to diagnose and fix the problem correctly.

Where is the freewheel lever on my kymco agility
It is positioned at the back of the mobility scooter. Low down on the actual motor there is a small red lever at the height of the wheel hubs. Usually just to the right of the centre, at about ankle height as you stand behind the scooter.

How to remove the front panel of a Kymco 150 scooter?
To remove the front panel of a Kymco 150 scooter, you will need to follow these steps:
- Locate the fasteners that hold the front panel in place. These are typically located on the underside of the panel, along the edges.
- Use a screwdriver or other suitable tool to loosen and remove the fasteners.
- Carefully lift the front panel off of the scooter.
- If the front panel is attached to the handlebars or other parts of the scooter, you may need to carefully disconnect these connections before removing the panel.
It's important to be careful when removing the front panel to avoid damaging the panel or the scooter. If you are unsure of how to remove the panel or if you encounter any difficulties, it may be best to consult a mechanic or the scooter's user manual for further guidance.
