    Hello,

    Another answer,

The PCM is located inside the passenger compartment under the dashboard tucked into the corner near the ABS module on the driver's side. The PCM is easily distinguished by the aluminum fins attached to the bottom of the module.

    Thanks

Can someone help me on locating my c?oling fan switch on my 2003 ford escape.

Cooling fan switch ? The cooling fans on your vehicle are computer controlled . Relay's energized by PCM - engine computer . Coolant temp sensor is a input to the PCM ,when the temp. reaches 212 degress the PCM will energize the low speed fan relay ,if temp reaches 250 degress the PCM will energize the high speed cooling fan relay . Hooking up a scan tool an checking coolant temp. sensor data to the PCM and checking control from the PCM ( energizings relay's ) Is how to diagnose this . Not replacing parts and hope you fix the problem . Your best bet take it to a qualified repair shop.

I have a 2001 Lincoln LS and the Ford dealership is telling me that they can't update my PCM because my mega fuse is blown do a mega fuse have anything to do with the memory

Really depends on which fuse is out. If the PCM has no power it can not be reprogrammed. The issue is what made the fuse break and why does the Dealership think the PCM needs reprogramming? You do not know if the PCM will work until it is powered up unless certain connection points are tested and it shows the PCM is dead. This would be like saying the insides of your PCM are burnt up. If the PCM is burnt up restoring power will not fix it.

Probably a better way to to say it is you need to know if the PCM was burned up and if that is why the fuse broke. The fuse is suppose to protect the PCM before it is damaged. You could smoke another PCM if you connect it up to the car without repairing the problem first.. But the PCM is a computer and the memory can be lost. But like other computers there are Read only programming and programs which can be rewritten. If the circuits are good then the old PCM can be reprogrammed when power is restored.

2000 Saturn blowing pcm fuse

There are two PCM 10amp fuses that power the computer. The computer provides grounds to some 20 or 30 different circuits. Any one of those circuits could blow one or both of the 10amp fuses.
I would probably unplug the PCM and see if the fuses still blow. If not, you will need to pin test each circuit from the PCM to find the short. And you'll need a shop manual to get the wiring diagrams for those circuits.

Where is the computer located/

You have to disengage the PCM (computer) wiring harness from the PCM as the PCM is removed from under the dash. The PCM connector is located on the firewall under the hood to the left of the brake booster, you'll see the a large retangular wiring connector (120 wires) with a single bolt in the middle. Unscrew the bolt, go back under the dash to remove the PCM.

97 Dodge Ram Pick up cranks ok engine won't run

try checking all the ground circuits comming out of the PCM. and its also not common for a ground driver in the PCM to fail on dodges. also i have seen crankshaft sensors short out and take out pcm communication. so i would start by unplugging any sensor that runs off the 5v supply until the pcm wil talk to the scanner. if you unplug a sensor and communication returns to scanner then replace the sensor. and dont forget to check for good power and ground at the data link conector and PCM
