Temporary loss of power

4.3L engine, travelling highway at 100km/h, approached a hill and when depressed gas pedal RPM's went to 3000 or better but lost power, speed reduced immediately to 90 and started to drop lower. Released gas pedal and everything seemed okay until tried again and same problem. Could continue on as long as I didn't push the engine, Replaced air filter 3 weeks ago, fuel filter and tune-up maybe 2 years ago, regular oil changes, and new fuel pump about 16 months ago, also fuel pump was always loud but seems to be louder recently.

My dodge grand caravan today threw a 700 engine code transmission module, car wont go over 25 and only has powered acceleration for first 5 seconds car is on.

700 is a generic transmission code. It went to limp mode, that's why it drives like it does. Have the codes read with a newer /better code reader or a scanner. Find out what other codes are in there.

My 1998 Mitzubishi Lancer 1.5lt has a loss of power mainly going up hills, I have replaced to spark plugs and the HT leads seam to be ok,Could it be the coil?or can someone suggest other probabilitys.

First thing I would check is that all of the plugs are still tight. This is a common problem of them coming loose without the proper torque.

Sounds like the fuel pressure regulator in your EFI (carburator). Sorenson make a rebuild kit complete with gaskets, screens and regulator for around $30.

2002 regal would slow down going up hills then

the catalytic converter most likely is no the sorurce of the problem, older design bead type Cat converters used to plug, but it is very rare on the newer ceramic honeycomb cats, u need to have the electronic engine control tested, are u getting a check engije light? if not has the fuel filter been replaced every 30,000 miles? also a part called the Mass Airflow sensor can cause these symptoms as well as igntion system problems.

Loss of power feels like it has a governor on. 3000 rpm and only

the service engine light means one of the sensors are bad or the idle control or even the throttle position sensor , these will cause your symptoms
you will need to check the code which will tell you exactly what has went bad and needs to be replaced
hope this info is worth a fixya , since everything else hurts our scoring , and if you need any more help I'll be glad to help
