Let's say that the battery and it's cables are good and charged and tight. and clean. You walk up and unlock the car and get in and close the door ( is the security light on? ) if it is can you put in the key and turn it on and does the security light go out? If it does'nt then you'll need to reset the security system. The GM way. With the doors all closed and the driver window down, reach in and turn the key to start and let go. the security light will be on steady, between 10 and 15 minutes it'll be out. Turn the key off and turn it back on and the security light will be back on, agian wait till it goes out. Again after it's out turn it off and wait a sec. and turn it back on, the light will come back on. again wait till it goes back out. this time ( the third time ) turn the key off wait a sec and then turn it to start and if everythings alright it'll start right up or crank OK and you'll have to finde another problem but the security system is'nt going to be it. If you battery is'nt good enough to do this you need a new battery anyway and your going to have all kinds of troble till you chcnge it.

Does the vehicle have ABS - anti-lock brakes ? Sounds like a master cylinder problem .

If you have a check engine light, that means there's a trouble code stored. Get the code read and that should give you an indication of where to start

I think you should go for manual first after that it would be easy for you to solve your problem. I had visited this site past 2 months before for my vehicle and find it quite helpful may be you will also get something useful here

It's the vent valve, and it's connected to the charcoal canister near the rear axle. Might be on top of the tank.

Dude messed up your wiring. Have the dude fix it properly.

Why would the wires need replacing. You can avoid a lot of extra work by just replacing the battery clamps (terminals). Just make sure the polarity is correct (Red is +, Black is negative ) Always connect the negative wire to the battery post last to prevent arcing. Wear safety glasses when working with batteries as an explosion hazard is present. Use conductive grease on battery post to prevent corrosion.

What's wrong with it , have you had it checked for DTC'S - diagnostice trouble codes .

The design of the passlock™ system is to prevent the vehicle operation if the proper ignition key is not used in order to start the vehicle. The mechanical key, in normal operation, will turn the passlock™ lock cylinder. The passlock™ sensor will relay the passlock™ data to the body control module (BCM). The BCM will determine the validity of the passlock™ data. The BCM will send a code password to the vehicle/powertrain control module (VCM/PCM). When the VCM/PCM receives the correct code the VCM/PCM allows the fuel injectors to operate normally. The passlock™ system requires the VCM/PCM and the BCM to communicate the various functions in order to operate. These functions transmit over the class 2 serial data line CKT 1807. For an explanation of the class 2 serial data operation refer to Data Link Connector Circuit Description in Wiring Systems.

Telltale Indication
Condition
ON constant for 3 seconds, then OFF
The bulb check occurs upon power-up (Ignition 1 and crank).
ON constant for 3 seconds, OFF momentarily, ON constant/ignition OFF
DTC (current) is set with the ignition ON (see DTC B2947, B2948, B2957 and B2958).
ON constant/ignition OFF
The TBC fuse is open or an open in CKT 1140
ON constant for 3 seconds, FLASH for 10 minutes, then OFF
Occurs when a Passlock™ sensor has been replaced and the ignition switch has been turned from the OFF position to the CRANK position. This sequence occurs 3 times.
FLASH with the ignition ON
The Passlock system is in a tamper mode (see DTC B2960 and B3033).
ON constant for 3 seconds, OFF momentarily, then ON constant for 10 minutes, then OFF
Occurs when a new BCM or a new PCM/VCM has been installed, and the ignition switch has been turned from the OFF position to the CRANK position. This sequence occurs 3 times.
ON constant for 3 seconds, OFF for 2 seconds, then ON constant
The IPC is unable to communicate with the BCM.

We can't know this.. Most of us know what the part is when we see it on the vehicle. pa66 is an after market part. Manufacturers number are longer and say GM on them. If it electrical, what happens when you unplug it.. Or what the problem now?
