Fuse for Cig lighter/DLC blown. Bought new fuse, which blew as soon as I installed it. Power windows stall sometimes. Key gets stuck in ignition sometimes, check engine lights comes on sometimes (for no reason). Are these related to the DLC?

From my wiring diagram power for the radio is fuse # 29 a 25amp fuse! The fuse for cig lighter also powers the DLC Pin # 16 . The DLC is the connector under the dash left of the steering wheel . This is where you would hook up a scan tool ! Are you saying by part dash lights ,that some of the dash lights are out ? Could just be some burnt out bulbs ! Was fuse # blown ? Did you cig light work before ? Could have a shorted out cig. lighter or the outlet ! To fix dash bulbs the instrument cluster would need to be pulled ! How to Replace Dashboard Lights In Depth
Look for a blown fuse it might be linked with interior lighting and or radio.if still no luck you need to get behind the cig lighter there maybe a fuse on the back of it on the red power wire. Either look from underneath or try and remove the panel its located on. Youtube this
No power from the cig lighter if you have a voltmeter youll have to test it for power at its harness behing the cig lighter, just to let you know that cig lighter also wears out and a replacement may be it the fix for you, also there is only one fuse for it
You blew the CIG,RADIO or ACC fuse in the fuse panel, remove and replace with same rated fuse. There is a grounding issue inside the lighter housing from this
Usually if your DLC (Data Link Connector) is not communicating you should check for a blown fuse on the cigarette lighter circuit, should be a blue 15amp fuse. Also check for any pennies or other foreign matter in your cig. lighter sockets or unplug your accessory charger that is in there. I see that all the time. I also see some DLC's that just don't communicate due to a wiring problem. But check the simple things first.
you probably didnt change the right fuse and had another one blown at the same time you also could have a primary fuse under the hood that blew. once fixed dont use pump again. not same amps drawn
Two years later and you solved my dead cigarette lighter. manual says fuse 35--but it did not say to check 38 on the left fuse box. Thanks--blown fuse and everything works. Thanks
