My 1995 Nissan pickup horn doesn't work, inside light, windshield wipers, speed odometer, RPM indicator, signal lights aren't working either . I was changing out an alternator while taking off my battery cable hot side I accidentally sparked on something that may blown a fuse or regulator . Any ideas on where to check first.

True my friend . In my High School body shop class our teacher said his father was taking the
positive off first and grounded the wrench on the fender and melted his gold wedding ring on his finger .

SOURCE: horn, windshield wiper not working, new fuse

Before you go to the relay--see if you can scrub the fuse holders clean (for the horn and wipers). Remove the ceramic fuses, and take a stiff bristled brush and some rubbing alcohol to the contact surfaces. Vehicles I used to restore (from the South) that had been sitting a while had green oxidation on the fuse contacts that would cause intermittent opens on the circuit.

SOURCE: can't find fuse box for horn, turning signal and windshield wiper

I looked this up on WikiAnswers. Apparently the 2005 dodge magnum has 2 fuse boxes. One is under the hood on the passenger side and the other is in the trunk, next to the battery, in the spare tire storage well.

SOURCE: need to know how to replace the windshield wiper motor

First remove the wiper arms. Then remove the screws that hold the black plastic grill, you will see the motor. You will need then to disconnect the wiper arm transmission linkage from the motor, then remove the three bolts holding the motor on, dont't forget to disconnect the electrical connector from the motor.Install in reverse order.Good luck.

SOURCE: wipers only work on high, does not work on delay

The wiper motor control module needs to be replaced, if you can buy one. The control module is mounted to the wiper motor. If you can't buy just the module, you will need to buy the entire unit. I am pretty sure you need the control module, but you can verify this by unplugging the plug that goes into the wiper motor and checking each of the pins on the plug with a 12 volt test light connected to ground while someone operates the switch. If the switch is good, you will get voltage on high as well as delay. I was able to locate an entire assembly on EBAY for less than the cost of the module from the dealer. Good luck!

Why does my windshield wipers come on when I turn my left turn signal on

Perhaps a screw fell out inside the steering column, and causes power from the turn signal to short to the wiper circuit. I saw this happen in a 1972 GMC pickup truck, where a screw fell out and caused the horn to sound when the turn signal was activated. The screw was laying across the two circuits, and when the signal was powered up, the horn was also , on an intermittent basis. Had torent a steering wheel puller from the auto parts store.

Flashing dome light, broken horn, and slow windshield wipers... what can it be?

if your hearing a clicking sound when pushing the horn button then it sounds like you need to replace the horn the diaphram is probably no good.if it was a bad connection you wouldn`t hear a clicking noise.the slow wipers sounds like it could be a poor ground on the wiper motor.you can run a separate ground wire to the wiper body and if the wipers work at a normal speed then that is all you have to do.if not then the power wire needs to be checked for battery voltage if its good then the problem is likely the wiper motor itself.the flickering interior light may be the light switch maybe moving just enough to make contact to allow power to the light.make sure the switch is into the off position and see what happens.

My dad jumped his work truck with my 99ford escort zk2 and I think that he hook the pos to the neg. Well all the bulbs blew and the windshield wipers run non stop when fuse is in. Have everything fixed...

check all the fuses with a meter , not just by sight, then, look under the hood for the fuse block there, check those fuses also, especially the main fuses, 30 amp and above,, with any luck he didn't blow out your computer
