1995 pontiac grand prix does not start. the key reads 30ohms resistance and that is what I get at the wires coming from the ignition. all fuses under hood good. dash lights up but when i turn the key nothing. The courtesy light does not even dim. I can get the starter to turn over by jumping the solonoid but it dies. Understand the VAT issue. Ideas??

inside the steering column locate the ignition remove wire to reveal screw to remove ignition that wire is what controls the buzzer and light itthe wire probrally wasnt in place correctly wich caused your problem

Used parts such as starters and altinators don't last. It might **** but it sounds like you need to buy a new starter,altinator, and battery. Or just start with buying one at a time.
