How do you know it's low. If you know it's low you know where to put fluid in.

raise car level when hot. let it idle. remove upper plug. pump fluid in till it comes out. It is now full.

don't let car fall on you when it's running. it will kill you.

SOURCE: Where do I put in the transmission fluid?

Fluid goes in the dipstick tube....at least it does in my 93 Dakota (3.9 engine). Check the fluid level when the transmission is hot, engine running and transmission in neutral

Barely started transmission slipping

Check the fluid level and condition. Typically it is just because the fluid is low. There is a fill plug located on the side of the transmission towards the top. It will have a square in the center where you can put the end of a ratchet in. Remove the plug and put your pinky in the hole. If you don't feel fluid its low. Check to see where its leaking from. Transmission fluid does not evaporate.

2006 dodge grand caravan transmission fluid low but cannot find a leak

check your rear main seal. Also try changing your trans fluid, trans filter, and your transmission pan seal. I recommend you put lucas transmission oil in it and a quart of the Lucas Stop Slip and leak sealer

2002 galant cranks but won't move when in drive, reverse, or gears. What could be the problem?

Sounds like you are low or out of Transmission Fluid. May also have to replace the transmission. Check your fluid, if you are low put in Lucus Transmission fluid. It is allot thicker than normal but is for running low on fluid.

98 Suzuki esteem no acceleration when putting in drive.

This could be an indication that you are either low on automatic transmission fluid or your transmission is slipping. Check your fluid level before driving it again. Continually driving with low (or bad burned fluid) will damage your transmission.

check transmission fluid level could be low.if transmission fluid level okay and fluid and filter been changed every 21000 miles.code scan for transmission fault codes like faulty transmission range sensor.faulty transmission fluid pressure solenoid, look for faulty torque converter code or faulty tcm. if you see no fault codes.either transmission manual shift linkage loose or broken or you have internal transmission damaged.

Car makes a loud noise and jerks when I try to put it in a gear.

we might need to know if this is the car's 1st transmission and how many miles are on it --- but tansmissions that make noise and **** when put into gear are transmissions that are low on transmission fluid or have burnt (old) fluid - check your transmission fluid level using the transmission fluid dipstick (its location should be in the car's owners' manual).
If fluid looks dark (significantly darker than new fluid from the bottle), then drain &fill tranny.
If fluid is just low, fill tranny and monitor level for continued leakage.
A word of caution: keep on top of the tranny's fluid level - running on a dry transmission is a really good way to put a 94 Cutlass into the junkyard before its time.

Low Automatic Transmission Fluid in 2009 Toyota Corolla

It should be fine, as long as you topped it up again. If there's no sign of transmission fluid in your driveway it's not leaking. Keep on trucking!

Honda prelude a/t transmission

Check transmission fluid, our cars are pretty low and unfortunately automatics transmission sit pretty low so its possible you have a leak below or are just running low on transmission fluid.
