I have a 2004 isuzu acsender and the battery died. I changed the battery and it started. But the problem is now the dual a/c unit. Driver side has a/c and heat but the passenger and rear only heat. What can I do to repair it. It only started when I changed the battery.

You either have broken wires in the steering wheel clock spring, or the Body Control Module has a fault. You are swapping out items that can be easily tested. Take the speaker from the driver side rear door and put it in the passenger to test it. Radios can be tested out of the car with a battery or power supply like a charger, and a speaker.
Does the vehicle have dual zone climate control, where the driver side and passenger side have different control? Sounds like a blend door issue on the driver side. Why did you replace the passenger side, was it blowing hot too when AC was on?
Get yourself a can of starting fluid spray, and spray NO MORE than a two second burst into the air intake after removing the filter. Then crank it. If it fires (very briefly), your problem is low or no fuel delivery to the engine.
open the boot, check by the side, you will see a black cover that covers the light, use screw driver to loose it then you will see the bulb inside then replace it.
1. Place the ignition switch in the off position. 2. Remove the HVAC/ECAS fuse for 10 seconds or more. It's in the under hood fuse box. Put the temp in full cold. 3. Install the fuse. 4. Start the engine. DO NOT TOUCH THE HVAC CONTROLS FOR LESS THAN 45 SECONDS. 5. Have any codes cleared with a scan tool.
Do you have dual zone heat and cooling controls? If so......the drivers side air flow control unit on the heater assembly is not working. It is mounted on the heater assembly and can usually be accessed through the glove compartment to change it. The stepper motor on these units fails often. This should be the problem on your car 99%...if you have a separate heat/cooling control for driver and passenger areas.
When your battery died, it probably wiped the PCM memory. Drive for 20 minutes in stop and go traffic then 10 minutes on the highway to reset the PCM sensors. Check to see if this helps at all. It's wierd to think about, but the PCM can control alot of the systems in the A/C.
Make sure the battery produces enough power...I think minimum cold-start power for this car is 550 amps, although I would recommend more, especially if you added any performance stuff, especially amps, which would draw more power. Also, check your fuses and wiring.
