Want to sell- how much? and where are you located?

  • Anonymous Apr 23, 2011

I have a1983 Chrysler Lebaron with I believe is a 2.6 ltr that has a low Idle, the carb is a mikuni, when I turn on the ac the idle races then drops low again, If I step on the brake with the ac on it almost stalls, the whole car shakes, but it doesn,t stall, I ordered a throttle position sensor but I do not think it is for this car because I couldn't find it on the car. anybody have any ideas, thanks

2005 diesel smart car starts then dies after a few seconds. changed pump. fuel filter, pressure sensor, cleaned air intake including turbo. Has good fuel pressure. cleaned injectors, have good spray.

black smoke = excessive fuel = bad injector tips , low injector pressure , turbo not working properly
take the car to an accredited diesel specialist professional for a pump pressure and injector pressure test, injector calibration and tip replacement

What else could cause a no start condition turns over ok occasionally it will fire

Fire when? as you release the key? If so replace the ignition switch. If you have fuel and spark it should start unless it is way out of time or the security is set. Another thing to consider is the spark plugs. Since you have had so much gas threw the engine, they may be fouled out.

I bought a 94 blazer that sat for almost 5 yrs, replaced tank, fuel pump, filter ,injectors, plugs wires, plugs..injectors shooting gas , mother effer won't start

it is more than likely the cam or crank sensor. Do you have spark while cranking? if not check these sensors. Make sure the wires on top of the tank going to the fuel pump are connected and you have a proper ground. On these cars when you turn the key to the run position (just before starting) you should hear the fuel pump running for about 3 seconds Their could be many other reason s for it not starting but you need to start somewhere. Let me know I can give you more things to check if this does not work

Have 87 jeep comanche, have been told it has a cam shaft sensor, to keep it in time , if so where is it located? the engine is a 4.0

The cam sensor is located in the distributor.check the cylinder compression, check for ignition spark, check for fuel injector pulse and fuel pressure.

My car is running poorly, it feels like it's not getting rnough fuel. I drove it all day. Then when it sat still for 5 hours it would stay running to save my life. It's a 88 lebaron

Bad crank position sensor or fuel pump. Check fuel pressure at engine compartment where it goes into fuel injection. If OK, usually bad crank postion sensor.

Fuel pump not getting power.Replaced fuel relay and pump. computer code was reading cam position sensor. I dont believe that would cause a no power to fuel pump. It is trying to turn and it will turn with...

If it is similar to Quest, the fuel pump runs for 5 seconds when you turn the key to ON. Then, unless the engine is running, the pump shuts off. It runs when the key is in START position though. Can you hear the pump run for 5 seconds when you turn key to ON? Listen carefully for the hum of the pump in the tank.
Normally, the power relay powers up the PCM and it applies power to the fuel pump relay. Then you get power to the pump.
Also, look at owner manual for all fuses that apply to fuel pump system.

Need specs for 2000 alero 2.4L 4cyl.

Crank senser has 5 Volts ground and signal that flutters on ascope or waveform meter when turning over with the 5 volts on or running the cam senser is exctly the same just in a different spot and it looks a little different it works the same way as the crank. there both light switch failure on the quad 4 as theirs no half way they work or they dont and the car won't hit a lick if they are bad, no spark no injector no fuel pump wont even try or sound like its going to start fuel pressure is 40 lbs 30 running injector OHms are 1.5

No fuel pressure to engine

The Filter could be a cheap fix, and might work but probably not. Have someone check the fuel pressure, if its really low then you need to check to see if all of your injectors are "hitting". If they are then more than likely its your fuel pump !!
