It's easy.

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
  2. Remove the right side insulator/ carboard/ fabric thingy (if it's still there).
  3. Unclip the instrument panel wiring harness retainer and move it out of the way.
  4. Disconnect the blower motor.
  5. Disconnect the blower motor cooling hose.
  6. Remove the (3) blower motor mounting bolts.
  7. Remove the blower motor.

go under the glove box to the heater box there you will find the plug for the fan there are 4 star screws holding up the fan but before removing it check is there 12 volts and is there an earth in the plug.

Testimonial: "Thank you this seems to be very helpful but what do you mean by checking if there is 12 volts and if there is an earth in the plug?"

SOURCE: I need to replace the O2 sensor on my 99

it depends on which o2 sensor is bad. you have 2 on your car ones an upstream o2 sensor which is before catalyic convertor the other is a downstreem o2 which is located after the cat. they both range anywhere from 50.00 to 100.00 a peice. and there is a special tool to buy to change it. this is what it looks like. 945a39f.jpg if you don't mind jacking your car up and placing jack stands under the car to support it. you should be able to replace it. besure to spray it real good with some penatrating oil like wd40 and let it soak for a while before trying to remove it.

2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue: Heat and A/C blower only works on "high".

This is a common problem when the heater resistor goes bad. It is located near or mounted on the blower motor. Replacing the resistor module will fix the problem. FYI, Sometimes the blower motor is still working but the bearings are going bad. This tends to cause premature failure of the motor resistors. (So if the resistors fail again I would suggest replacing the blower motor as well.)

Blower motor with or w/o temp control?

Do you have a Electronic Temperature control where you select a temp with a digital display? Or is it just a temp selector and a speed selector? Your parts store can help you determine what you have.

The heater switch stopped working - could this be a fuse or is the unit replaceable?

Yes, check the fuse first. Make sure that none of the blower speeds work, a common failure is heater blower resistors that cause one or more speeds to stop working.
Next, it is just as likely or more that the blower motor itself has failed or is stuck.

Rain leaks in on passenger side from below dash on passenger side on my 1999 oldsmobile intrigue. Not everytime it rains but often.

has the ac blower motor been under dash been replaced ? my brother replaced mine but didnt rain for a while so when there was standing water in the floor board didn't even think about it but after a small wreck and in the process of replacing right fender and hood had to take off cowl vent panel so decided to look and see if could find leak and sure enough there is a rubber seal around the hole the blower motor fits in and it was not seated correctly reached down seated no more leak hope this help worth checking any way

I have a 2002 Olds Intrigue that has an intermittent problem with the air conditioner/heater not working. No indicator lights show during this time and occasionly the Cruise light comes on. No real pattern...

Follow the blower wires. I believe you should find a relay. I suggest testing it as well. Make sure it is good. Also make sure fuse is good and secure. Test your control switches and check all the vacuum lines and wiring

Replaced blower motor, now runs continuously.

Run's continuously ? High speed , low , med 1,2, 3 . ????
Probably the high speed relay contact's stuck closed . The fuse for the high blower is hot at all times , low blower fuse is hot only with key on. It sparks becaused the motor turns on . If it had a short the fuse would blow . The blower motor relay is part of the resistor pack near the blower motor .
