2002 Camry XLE: Computer-controlled AC light blinks and compressor will not run. Freon level is excellent. When compressor does runs (intermittently it does!), AC puts out very cold air. Mechanic questions the solar sensor, but can't reproduce the problem. Help! Summer is coming!
Could be bad AC clutch relay. Just replaced mine ($11 at autozone). It is located in the relay box just behind the battery.
Charge lamp relay for' clutch-in engine fuse box
little kinda like- a fuse
I have a 1999 Toyota Camry with the a/c light blinking - here is the solution that was found after several hours of diagnosis.Everything electrically (including the wires going to the compressor) and mechanically related to the A/C checked out perfectly. The compressor was alittle noisy but wouild only blow cold if the compressor is jump wired. The compressor has a magnet inside that when the compressor starts to go bad and begins to rattle it will throw the magnet, and the light will start flashing on the A/C button,as well as stop the compressor from running. This prevents the compressor from seizing up, and breaking the belt because it is in the process of going out.Back probing the compressor where the electrical sensor enters the compressor would have led to a solution immediately.Ultimately, the compressor was replaced, and the light stopped blinking, thus the A/C started to work perfectly.

(Thanks for your prompt response.) Yes: Code 21, solar sensor. But according to mechanic, it checked out OK. I just repeated the check now, and it still shows Code 21, yet at this moment it is running fine. What gives?! Any ideas? Can I trust it on my next road trip in Texas heat?
there is trouble code in your a/c system did mechanic check for codes
