Do you still have your original owners manual for the radio? It will have the code to reset your radio and instructions on how to do it. If not, because of so many radio thefts, you will have to go to a VW dealership to get your code for the radio and have it programed. If you have the code contact me and I will tell you how to program it in to reset your radio. Hope this helps.

my code is 09 07, but the radio is dead, no power, no life at all. Could that be a radio problem itself. Fuse is fine. Capasitors seems ok, what else should i try?

Have you checked the radio fuse? You may have blown the fuse when you jumped the car. The fuse box should be out under the hood encased in black plastic.

2012 VW Jetta TDI battery won't hold charge and car only clicks and won't start

You need to charge your battery up more. Either get a battery charger or leave the jumper cables hooked up for a longer period of time.
Your battery was probably completely dead. You might even need a new battery...they really don't like to be completely drained.

Jumped started Audi 2001 TT, due to dead battery, now radio dead

You will need to enter the anti theft radio lock code. I would check the manual for the operation. On my VW it was on a sticker in the truck. Also check with an Audi dealer for exact location.

Did you check the fuse that is behind the radio ? There is a fuse which might of blown, but you will need to remove the radio from the dash and you need special tools for this.

My 1991 vw jetta wont start... it makes a ticking noise when i turn the key over .. anyone got any ideas ... the motor was rebuilt about 2 years ago. 14k on the clock.

Sounds like the battery is almost dead, try boosting it with another car or a good battery you may also jump start it if its a standard. If the battery is not dead and your 100% sure of that then I'd say the starter is burned out in which case you have to change the starter.

2000 Jetta Radio is dead after a dead battery jump start

Some German cars have anti-theft device inside to make it useless to steal...check at the dealership to see if jumping the battery will activate this(the car thinks its being stolen) .

Battery drain

My wife's 2001 Jetta TDI had the same problem. First we changed the battery. (It was just about due anyway) No change. We then traced the power drain to the in-trunk mounted CD changer. This was an aftermarket CD changer but we went to the same source that the VW dealership uses. Of course one blames the other. The CD changer was even replaced with no change. If we are not using the car for long trips we unplug the CD changer and no more dead battery! Neither the VW dealer nor the AV installer could give us a good working solution to this problem.
