I have a 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500HD LT with Duramax Diesel. I have recently lost all brake pressure and can depress brake pedal all the way to the floor. My ABS light came on yesterday while spinning tires in 4wd low and applying brakes. It went away, but when getting unstuck and driving away lost brake pressure. I believe I leaked brake fluid at some point and think that I probably blew my brake line. How should I approach fixing this myself.

Unless you really know what you are doing it is best to get a mechanic to repair this. People's lives and safety are at risk and you could be held legally if something went wrong with your repair job. I would not touch it.

DTC P1093
Fuel Rail Pressure Low During Power Enrichment

The engine control module (ECM) uses the fuel rail pressure (FRP) sensor to determine fuel pressure to the fuel injectors. This is then compared to the calculated target fuel pressure as determined by the ECM. The ECM adjusts the FRP by modulating the duty cycle of the control driver of the fuel pressure regulator. Injector pulse duration is determined by the measured rail pressure and the target injection fuel into each cylinder. If a sensor circuit malfunction is detected, or the commanded fuel injection pump flow is not within the proper range for a given engine load and speed, DTCs will be set.

DTC U1000 and U1255 Circuit Description Modules connected to the class 2 serial data circuit monitor for serial data communications during normal vehicle operation. Operating information and commands are exchanged among the modules. When a module receives a message for a critical operating parameter, the module records the identification number of the module which sent the message for State of Health monitoring. A critical operating parameter is one which, when not received, requires that the module use a default value for that parameter. When a module does not associate an identification number with at least one critical parameter within about five seconds of beginning serial data communication, DTC U1000 or U1255 is set. When more than one critical parameter does not have an identification number associated with it, the DTC will only be reported once. The class 2 serial data line on this vehicle is a ring/star configuration. The following modules communicate on the class 2 serial data line:
• The body control module (BCM) • The digital radio reciever • The driver door module (DDM) • The electronic brake control module (EBCM) • The front passenger door module (FPDM) • The HVAC control module • The inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) • The instrument panel cluster (IPC) • The memory seat module (MSM) • The powertrain control module (PCM) • The radio • The radio amplifier • The rear seat audio (RSA) controller • The rear seat entertainment (RSE) assembly w/U42 • The rear wheel steering control module • The remote playback device-CD player w/U1S • The transfer case shift control module • The transmission control module (TCM) w/Allison transmission • The theft deterrent control module • The vehicle communication interface module (VCIM) w/UE1

SOURCE: 96 Chevy Cavalier brake pedal to the floor

First check your brake fluid.
Either you have a failing brake booster, or you have developed a leak in one of your brake lines. If your brake line is leaking, it should be pretty evident, i.e. oily looking substance sprayed underneath the vehicle or in the wheel wells, if the booster is leaking (the large black/silver almost bowl shaped thing directly in front of the driver under the hood against the back wall) there will most likely be fluid dripping down the firewall below it, if your brake fluid is extremely low/empty, you probably have a leak, that could be at the booster or on a line, or even at the caliper/drum. If it is empty (which can make your ABS light, light up) then you have yourself a leak. Also, if the fluid is really low, you could try adding some, although you will have air in the lines if it was low enough to floor the brake, but you might be able to find the leak if you refill the fluid and cause it to spray from the leak again. Have someone watch under the vehicle while you do this.

Fuel in engine base oil

I'm not much on diesels, but for gas engines the most common source is a leaking injector or fuel pressure regulator.

Check the oil and see if it smells like diesel. Sounds like an injector stuck open.
The LB7 trucks have injector warranty extended to 200k, so I would think about calling the dealer.

If you have an aftermarket trailer towing plug on it, that's where i would look first. Something is shorting out in there, or you have a broken wire or ground somewhere. Proabably near the back where gravel stones can hit.

Low fuel rail pressure

who did a conversion on this truck???? the duramax is a common rail engine and can not handle wvo or sve. it will destroy your entire fuel system in no time on this truck. if you want to do a vo conversion you need to get a diesel with an inline injection pump or one of the older powerstrokes. i would suggest you quit trying to run wvo through this truck if you do not want to do a lot of very expensive damage
