I am going to assume that you have the Automatic climate control on your car. it gives you an auto fan mode, and temperature options. Often the problem does not lie in the blower motor, but rather, the climate control module. Often, the blower motor only works on Auto fan mode, or on full out. It will often also only operate in certain modes, such as only in defrost mode, or panel. I have had several town cars and Grand Marquies of these era's and have had the same problems with 2 of these cars. The only good solution to the issue is to replace the climate control module, which is the panel with all of the switches for the heater controls. If you're really adventurous or cannot find the replacement part, it may be possible to hard wire the fan to a multi resistance switch, but you really got to know what you're doing.

tip

No heat blowing

on most vehicles when the heat stops blowing it's usualy not a fuse or a relay but the blower motor or the blower motor resistor.
Here is a good way to check if it's the blower motor. Disconect the plug going in to the blower motor, Now run two long wires from the battery one on the negitive and one to the possitive. put power to the blower motor with theese wires, negitive to one post and possitive to the other .Does'nt matter what post you hook to the blower motor will just spin the opisite way. if the blower motor spins then you can rule out the blower motor and suspect the blower motor resistor is bad. to find the blower motor resistor all you have to do is follow the wirring from the blower motor. The resistor will be at the end of the wirring for the blower. The resistor will be mounted on the heater box near the blower motor and is usually held in by two screws.

Why is my heat or air is not blowing and car is running hot

How hot is the engine running in degrees f? Does the radiator fan run?
With hvac turned on, check voltage and ground at the blower motor. If good voltage and ground, suspect the blower motor is faulty.

Blower motor wont run for the air or heat and none of the heated seatswork

I had a 2003 caddy dts same issue the blower motor has probably gone bad u can order them online. What u can also try is kicking under the passenger side glove box area that's where the blower is located sometimes they get stuck. Try kicking or tapping under there and see if it pops on. I did this with my car

My heater is not putting out any heat.

If the blower motor is running, then this is likely a cooling system issue. If the blower is not running, then likely blower motor resistors.
If cooling, check levels. Does the engine reach operating temperature? (thermostat stuck open if not)

Getting heat in the heater core, heater door are opening, but no heat coming out the vents, help thanks

It sounds like the blower motor is not working. If you don't hear it running when you switch it on, check the fuse first. If the fuse is OK, you will probably need a new blower motor. It could also be a faulty fan switch or blower motor resistor. Once you remove the blower motor assembly, you can test it by putting battery voltage across the contacts with jumper wires, making sure to get correct polarity. If it does not spin, it should be replaced. If the blower does work when removed, the fan switch is probably at fault. The resistor is usually indicated when the fan works only at certain switch positions, but not all.

Heater blower only blows on low

This could be a few different things:

1.Check the power and ground connections on your blower motor, corrosion can cause high resistance and a slow blower speed.

2. Check your available voltage at the blower motor on the different settings. it should vary with high supplying 12volts, make sure to do this check with the blower motor still plugged in.

3. Connect the blower to a 12v power source and see if it runs at high speed.

If all else fails i would check your resistor pack, i would not suspect this because when it fails you usually just loose all speeds except for high, but it could happen.
