Were is the control module located on a 2003 lincoln towncar

For those needing the 5 digit door code, it is indeed on the inside of the door panel. I went through the effort of taking the panel off and voila, there is was. Curious note, the module had been switched out because the car had other issues and the dealership never gave my mom the new code. Bad service!

AIR SUSPENSION PROBLEMS FOR 2000 LINCOLN TOWNCAR CARTIER

I have serviced these in the past and it will probably be a combination of things. I just a few weeks ago fixed a 1999 with the same problems. Generally from past repairs, the electric pump has been working overtime to compensate for leaking rear air shocks. The best solution is to replace them both, not a cheap repair, the pump around 275.00 and each shock arount 275.00.
Just with every thing over time things fail, the rear shocks develop leaks over time/weather cracks, they are easy to check, soapy water will identify this as the problem. If you can get under it enough to spray around the bottom of the shocks when they are inflated. These systems are computer controlled and if you have the proper scanner you can check the system out for eletrical problems easily. My past experiences with these suspensions as almost always the shocks and pump.

2000 LINCOLN TOWN CAR scanner said misfire cylinder #5 today @approx. 70 mph. the car would "kinda shake" if she slowed down or went faster it would stop the shaking like symptom. PLEASE HELP, I CANT

Since scanner said Misfire #5, then start there: Pull spark plug and review for damage, worn electrodes. Replace as required. If it has been a while, then replace all the plugs. Do that first, then report back your findings.

I have a 2001 town car with a suspension problem.

Having it hooked up to a factory scan tool would be your best bet . Check for DTC'S diagnostic trouble codes . Without testing ,code scan ,we'd only be guessing . Very complex , the untrained person hasn't got a pray of fixing this . You have no idea what your dealing with . Vehicle Dynamic Suspension The vehicle dynamic suspension consists of the following components:
  • Rear air suspension control (RAS) module (5A919)
  • Snorkel
  • Drier
  • Air compressor (5319)
  • Air suspension switch (5K761)
  • Solenoid valve (5311)
  • Air spring (5560)
  • Air suspension height sensor (5359)
  • Air line
  • Rear Air Suspension Control Module A microprocessor controls the air suspension system. The microprocessor and its supporting hardware are contained in the rear air suspension control module. The rear air suspension control module responds to signals from various sensors in the vehicle to maintain the programmed ride height while the vehicle is either moving or stopped. The rear air suspension control module accomplishes this by opening and closing solenoid valves to control the amount of air in the air spring(s). The rear air suspension control module turns on the compressor by applying voltage through the compressor relay to inflate the air spring(s) and raise the vehicle. The rear air suspension control module opens the vent solenoid to lower the vehicle by releasing air from the air spring(s) in response to signal inputs from the air suspension height sensor(s).

Why won't rear end raise up ?

I have a 2000 Lincoln Town car, had the same problem, it was the rear air suspension/shocks. They are air bags basically that levels your car and it cost about $300.00 for each at the dealer for parts and install but it also has its own motor that inflates and deflates these air bags and I also had to replace that and that cost over $400.00 installed at the dealer.

I have a 2000 Lincoln Town Car. All of the turn signal lights have quit working. How do I track down the problem?

Is the Lighting Control Module bad? Is the Multi-Function switch bad? Your asking questions that can't be answered without doing electrical circuit testing . You could replace those parts an get lucky an fix it , but suppose you replace them an it doesn't fix the problem ? Do you know what a wiring diagram is ? what it's for ? Do you have a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter an know how to use it ? Pinpoint Tests PINPOINT TEST H: PINPOINT TEST H: THE TURN SIGNAL LAMPS ARE NEVER ON - THE HAZARD FLASHER LAMPS ARE NEVER ON CONDITIONS DETAILS/RESULTS/ACTIONS H1 DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM LCM Use the recorded results from the LCM self-test.
  • Are any DTCs retrieved?
Yes If DTC B1873 is retrieved, GO to H2 . If DTC B1342 is retrieved, CLEAR DTC and PERFORM LCM on-demand self-test. REPLACE the LCM if DTC B1342 is retrieved again. REFER to Section 419-10 . TEST the system for normal operation. No GO to H2 . Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop .

What is the blue wire that plugs into the fuel pump on a 2000 Lincoln town car with a 4.6 motor

At the fuel pump, pink with lite blue tracer is voltage. I looked at the fuel pump relay , there are two lite blue wires with orange tracer. I divide the relay into two sides, load side, has the arm with arrow head, that lite blue wire is voltage, you can see the fuse. The control side of relay is that coil looking symbol, that lite blue wire is ground controlled by computer. 26392646-vzysqsunalnzu2tpucadzbzw-2-0.jpg
