It should go to the window motor or the power locks or the power window button.
check window motor with a test light for 12 volts at the plug.
check regulator/pulley system for a broke cable.

Specifically I'm trying to identify the wire on the spark plug coil assembly to which I should connect the signal wire of a Tachometer to. The wire colours are, red, yellow, green/white, and blue.

It says the tachometer wire is Yellow/Green, you do not have that listed. You will find it in the list below, it is highlighted..

1997 pontaic grand prix driver side window stuck in down position. think switch is bad ,but while waiting for switch is there a way to get window up?

The only way I know to get the window up is to remove the door panel and run the window motor with jumper wires. However, before you replace the switch (which is not usually the problem) you should check the wires on the driver's door between the point where the wires exit the door and enter the kick panel area. It's common for the wires and insulation to break down over the years, and since the driver's door is opened and closed the most, causing the wires to bend back and forth, it is a common failure. The passenger side window uses the wiring in the driver's side door to operate.

I have a 1993 Pontiac Grand Prix I cant open the drivers side door from the inside I have to roll down the window and open it from the outside

Sounds like the rod or cable disconnected from the inside lever, you have to take the door panel off and see what came loose.

You will have to remove the button cover with a flat tool such as a screw driver, and use alcohol with a cotton swab to clean the electrical contacts.

I have a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix se. Both the drivers side windows will not go up/down. I removed the rear door panel of both doors and the small metal cable has come off. Is there a diagram or a fix to...

I had a problem similar to this but mine was in a GT and they would just work when they wanted to. I just had all the wires cut leading to the front passenger seat, back driver seat, and back passenger seat. And left the wires on the main. They all work perfect now. But the downside is that the driver is the only one who can put the windows down. (Which isn't always a bad thing) Hope I could help!
