2000 Ford Escort creaking nose

2000 Escort makes ''creaking'' noise from left front on braking when driving slowly, and occasionally of wide sweeping turns. Both side stabilizer bars were loose but cinching them up fixed exactly nothing regarding the noise although I'm glad I noticed before I had a Ford pogo-stick.
Bushings? Caliper isn't loose.

THE NOISE IS CAUSED BY THE CALIPER PINS BEING WORN OR THE STABLIZER RUBBER BUSHING BEING WORN.

Noise that sounds like a scraping noise.

If it stays long enough, press very lightly on the brakes to see if it will change or cease; I have occasional problems as you describe if one of our vehicles stands too long in our fairly humid area. When severe, I drive slowly forward while applying a little braking action and this clears it up.
