At the light switch, red wire is hot all the time. Use a test light to check for voltage. That voltage comes from fusible link at battery junction block. One of the positive battery wires goes to junction block. One way to check fusible link is to pull on it, if it stretches, the link is faulty. There are probably several links at junction block. If voltage on red wire, with headlamp switch on, check voltage on yellow wire with test light, if it's hot, have to check wiring to and from dimmer switch and dimmer switch itself. If red is hot and yellow wire isn't, I suspect the headlamp switch. goodluck.

SOURCE: no brake/hazard lights,have running/turn signal lights

Suggest you change hazard flasher 'can' first, then go to the hazard switch. I'm betting it's the flasher can.

SOURCE: Hunters will understand. I

You can't fool the switch. You will have to put an inline switch (toggle type or the like) on the circuits you wish to turn off. I used to do this on all of my cars years ago because I raced on the public roads and sometimes needed to hide from the good guys.

SOURCE: I can't find the tail

Don't look for it, just check each fuse one by one with a test light until you find the bad one.

Does the 1991 GMC Sierra 2500 have a starter relay ignition modual

NO VIN told so>?
C2500 or K2500, Sierra is trim.
a PICKUP truck>?
Not a Suburban right?

most cars made have starter relay so the super expensive ignition switch does not burn up ST contacts.
and cars GAS have ignition module, only location changes (if a Distributor it's there) if not Dizzy it's in the ECU or on some cars fire wall to COP coils.
1991 C2500 guess a Pickup is it?
4.3L engine, sorry not doing all 5 engines and diesel
shows distributor and ICM and 1 coil.
and no relay starter see schem.

try here>?

I have a 1991 GMC 1500 truck all my lights work expect my head lights I check fuse good change out switch check grounds good still no lights.

light switch-undefined-undefined-0.jpg Note the diagram, the red wire is voltage to headlamp switch, use a test light, check voltage on that wire, hot all the time. If no voltage, that leads back to fusible link. See the yellow wire, goes goes hot when you turn on the head lamp switch, check wire for voltage, headlamp switch on. that wire carries voltage to dimmer switch, From dimmer switch to headlamps. The black wire at headlamps is gr, you need voltage and ground both.
