Ford Taurs will turn over but not start

How about fuel filter.

Fule filter or fule pump 2 camshaft sensor

A solution was given earlier and I would request for a code error check before you chnage spares at random.Check fuel and fuel filter and pump

IS THERE POWER TO THE FULE PUMP DID YOU CHECK THE FULE PUMP RELAY YOU CAN CLICK OFF AND ON WHEN TURN THE KEY OFF AN ON ITS UNDER THE HOOD DO YOU HEAR IT CYCLE WHEN TURN THE KEY TO ON POSITION HAVE SOME ONE TAKE THE GAS CAP OFF AND LISTEN FOR THE FULE PUMP TO RUN FOR FIVE SECONDS IF THEY HEAR IT THEN PUMP IS RUNNING AND OK WHEN YOU TURN THE KEY BACK OFF WAIT 10 SECONDS FOR IT TO RESET AND IT WILL CYCLE AGAIN WHEN YOU TURN THE KEY ON .. IF THAT IS OK CHECK FOR SPARK AT A PLUG IF YOU HAVE SPARK AT THE PLUG THEN ONE SHOT EITHER IN THROTLE BODY AND TRY TO START IF IT FIRES THEN WE CAN TAKE FROM THERE LET ME KNOW HOW YOU DO HERE POHLCAT

check distrubutor timing may be off because distrubutor is worn out also sounds like the fuel pressure regulator is bad

I would start with the filter.

2 possible problems the easiest is an inline fuel filter on the frame rail below the drivers seat. Second the mapping sensor may be shot it monitors several fuel and ignition functions.

The fuel cut off only activates when you are involved in an accident.
Otherwise you are looking at a different problem.

If it doesnot crank at all look for starter/starter relay/starter relay fuse. Most probably wiring coming to starter is loose, try to tighten it more (push towards starter). Also I would check antiteft system (if it is provided for your car) as some BMW have immobilizers.
If it cranks no start look for spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, coolant temperature sensor, O2 sensor, fueling system (fuel pump cutoof switch, fule pump relay, fuel filter).
