GM headrests are essentially the same. Lower the seat as low as possible to allow enough headroom to remove the headrest. Next raise the headrest, push in the exposed button on one side of the 2 headrest pins that go into the seat. Notice on the other pin is a button that is flush to the plastic hole cover. This is the release button. Press this button in and the adjustment button at the same time and push up on the headrest. See this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQJGaWOJDw4
If one of the mounts for the headrest has a push button you push to adjust it up or down, then the other mount will have a pinhole on the inner side. It is big enough to insert a small Allen wrench. Push it inwards to release that latch and work the headrest upwards, pressing both latches as you go.
under the dash if you look, press the brake pedal with your hand.. you will see the brake pedal push a button, that switch is bad.. when you push the brake, and it pushes that button, that button unlocks the shift selector, replace that switch and your good to go. hope this helps.
When you lift the headrest to the up position on the plastic sleves at
the bottom of the metal rods for the headrest you should find a small
hole on one side.Take a small pin or nail and push in the hole and lift
up that will release the headrest
The headrest has on obvious button to adjust the height and another button kinda hidden to remove the headrest. The black plastic ring at the base where the metal poles insert into the seat is where the two buttons. You probably noticed the obvious on that sticks out of the side of one of the rings. The other plastic ring contains a similar button that is not noticeable due to it being flush with the side of the plastic ring. Adjust the headrest to its highest position, then locate the "hidden" button on the other plastic ring and depress it while lifting on the headrest and it should come out.
I just replaced my radio on my 97 olds so im thinking it should be the same. You have to completely remove the lower dash. this involves popping many of those lock things but be careful cause they break easy. Also you will need to remove multiple screws from around the lower dash, then it will just drop down and you can remove the radio.
Look at the top of ur seat, between the two shafts of ur headrest. Beside one of the posts is a black plastic base on which one side has a button u push. That allows u to remove the headrest. U might have to jimmy side to side a bit as they are somewhat hard to remove at times, just do so with ur finger pushing the release mechanism.
