How can I turn off the passenger side airbag in a 2002 Buick Rendezvous? AND, where can I find an owner manual for my vehicle?

The passenger sensing system turns off the right front
passenger frontal airbag and seat-mounted side
impact airbag under certain conditions. The driver
airbags and the roof-rail airbags are not affected by the
passenger sensing system.
The passenger sensing system works with sensors that
are part of the right front passenger seat. The sensors
are designed to detect the presence of a properly-seated
occupant and determine if the right front passenger
frontal airbag and seat-mounted side impact airbag
should be enabled (may inflate) or not.

I'm not sure if a purse or other light weight objects would activate the passenger airbag but if your display is showing random passenger activation it would be best to have a qualified dealer check into it...better safe than sorry.

The passenger side airbag does not have a switch that you, as the operator, can turn on or off. There are sensors in the seat and seat belt system that determine when the passenger side airbag should be activated. Attached is a link to the owners manual for your vehicle. Check pages 1-20 and 1-21 for details.

It's on the passenger side of the engine. If our standing in front of the car it is just in front of the power steering pump and right above the a/c compressure. It hhas a smooth pulley.

Hi, that fuse is in the box under the hood. See pic below. I think it's fuse 32. Fuse 45 also powers those outlets but also power a lot of other circuits. The fuse for the outlet in the very back of the car is on the interior fuse panel, #14. All of this information is in your owners manual. Personally i would never put a baby in a front passenger seat of a car fitted with an air bag. On saying that, there should be a key hole to turn the airbag off, using the ignition key. where this is situated should be on the centre dash between the seats or at the side of the dash near the pass side of the vehicle. A light should illuminate when the airbag is off to warn you that it is Disconnected/off. your owners manual should shed some light on this. Failing that stop off at ANY audi dealer and they will tell you.

There is not a fuse listed for heated seats but fuse 16 is for heated mirrors and fuse 11 is power seats. i'm guessing one of those should also control the heated seats.

Same this happened to me on my 2004 Rendezvous. The fuse popped out. Just push it back in. The fuses are located on the left side panel of the front passenger seat. If they are not marked there is a map in the owner's manual.
