SOURCE: check engine light on my 01 windstar when scaned

thats a lean code which mean there is a vaccum leak or fuel flow is low. can be the fuel filter, most likely it is a vaccum leak, spray with carb spray around the intake and the hoses and see if the idle changes

What do the following codes mean? PO171,PO174 and PO430. And what is best solution to eliminate them? Is it something I can handle or should I carry it to my local mechanics?

PO171 Fuel System Lean Bank 1
PO174 Fuel System Lean Bank 2
PO430 Catalyst System Low Bank 2
A new fuel filter would be a good start.

Po171 po174 code

Lean bank 1 and bank 2 , and throttle actuator system fault. Check reason for lean codes 1st, vacuum leak(s), air inlet boot and hoses, or low fuel pressure / clogged filter. Repair as needed then clear codes and recheck .

Error codes PO171, PO174 on 6.0 2004 silverado, what are they?

P0171 means: System too lean (Bank 1) P0174 means: System too lean (Bank 2). Sounds like your injectors are not getting enough fuel.

Check engine light with codes po171 po174

Both codes are system too lean bank 1 & bank 2. Most likely a vacuum leak. Check all vacuum hoses for broken, kinked, collapsed or missing.

Code po171 7 po174

your computer is reporting bank 1 and 2 too lean, usually caused by the mass air flow (MAF) sensor, you can usually clean this sensor and reset the light. Clean it with electric cleaner or brake cleaner, make sure it is dry before reinstalling, also take care not to damage it. Hope this helps, let me know

1995 Windstar OBD II showing codes PO340, PO171, and PO174

Hello;
With those codes, the first place I would check is the fuel pressure. Also check the fuel filter and replace it if you haven't already. Then clear codes and recheck. Even if your fuel pressure is with in range it still may not push enough fuel to operate your vehicle.
