Fuse box location mitsubishi 380 2005

hi

the first internal fuse box on a Australian 380 Mitsubishi is located on the drivers right side end of the dash.

open the drivers side door and on the right end of the dash, you will see a panel that sits flush on the end of the dash.

pry the panel open with your fingers or a tool, it opens up to the right, there are relays and fuses in there for the cars different functions.

the 2nd fuse box is located under the hood/bonnet on the Australian 380 model.

if you are in front of the car looking at the windscreen it is located on the right side in a black box near the suspension tower.

the top pops off and relays and fuses are in there.

both fuses boxes have the wiring diagrams under the lids so you can identify which fuse operates which function

to match the fuses to the diagram, start from one end first and check the amps for that fuse then the next one in the same row and then the next one.

after that you should be able match the fuses to the diagram, if the fuses dont match the diagram from that end, then start at the other end and do the same thing.

i hope this helps

cheers

Replacing a starter on a 1993 volvo 940 turbo. Is this a difficult task?

It looks easy for the 940 but I am not sure about the 940 turbo, as maybe some of the turbo parts are in the way. I'm not sure about that, since there is no documentation on the turbo model vs. the 940 standard model. If you can follow the following instructions, then I would give it a whirl.

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION - 1993 Volvo 940
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable at the battery.
  2. Disconnect the leads from the starter motor.
  3. Remove the starter motor retaining bolts.
  4. Remove the starter motor from the vehicle. To install:
  5. Position the starter motor to the flywheel housing.
  6. Apply locking compound to the bolt threads and install the retaining bolts finger-tight.
  7. Tighten the bolts to approximately 25 ft. lbs. (34 Nm).
  8. Connect the starter motor leads and the negative battery cable. Fig. 1: Unfasten the nut retaining the starter cables . . . 90952p12.jpg

Never open, service or drain the radiator or cooling system when hot; serious burns can occur from the steam and hot coolant. Also, when draining engine coolant, keep in mind that cats and dogs are attracted to ethylene glycol antifreeze and could drink any that is left in an uncovered container or in puddles on the ground. This will prove fatal in sufficient quantities. Always drain coolant into a sealable container. Coolant should be reused unless it is contaminated or is several years old.

  1. Drain the engine coolant.
  2. Disconnect the ground cable of battery.
  3. Remove the electrical connector from the sensor.
  4. Remove the coolant temperature sensor.

To install:
  1. Apply sealant to sensor threads. Install the sensor and tighten to 15-29 ft. lbs. (20-39 Nm).
  2. Attach electrical connector to sensor.
  3. Connect the ground cable of battery.
  4. Refill the coolant.
