Sounds to me like there is a bad ground to the fuel tank sending unit. This will not only keep the sending unit from showing how much fuel you have it will also keep your eletric fuel pump from working.

Has the fuel pressure been checked, should be 42-46 PSI under a load.

Hello: The Concours has the Northstar engine and the starter is UNDER the plastic intake manifold. Remove intake to replace starter.

It sound like it is the Alternator, it shouldn't be hard to change if you are mechanically inclined.

Try your fuel pump. Also a common mistake is if you have gas or not. Get a new starter. If it doesn't rollover it is the starter and like I said try the fuel pump. Hope this helps!?

its the mass air flow sensor follow your air intake hose till it connects with engine ( throttle body ) it is right on top first thing plugged in unplug it then start it it will be fine got knew one at junkyard for $20 they are new for $150 or more my 97 runs great thought it was fuel pump its mass air flow sensor

replace fuel filter first. cheapest and easiest.

CHECK THE FUSE OF THE ALTERNATOR OR CHECK IF THE ALTERNATOR IS CHARGING

look for fuse for alternator and the DRL.
