Runs roughly when started 1997 bravada - 1997 Oldsmobile Bravada

There are so many different things that can cause rough running, it's hard from your description to help much.
Check:
spark plugs
ignition wires
distributor (if your year has one)
Injection/injectors and wiring.
compression
etc.

check the intake gasket or mass airflow

This sounds like a timing issue. Check you plugs and plug wires, and verify the timing is set correctly.

Get a service done on it and scanned.

Hook fuel pressure gauge up to port near firewall. A battery charger sometimes boosts the vehicle voltage just enough to engage weak fuel pump. Should show 50-60 lbs all the time while cranking when not starting on battery.

Check for bad spark plug wires or wires connected to the wrong cylinder.

There is a solenoid that normally connects the two wires that you manually connected. They do go bad and if they are the replaceable typ an inexpensive fix.

Daytime running lights?

stumble or missfire..rough running and weak power under load.... get a compression and leak down test to be sure ...good luck...also a radiator pressure tester can assure you you are not leaching water into something or have external leak

do a pressure test on the fuel pump. if that tests ok then check your sensors. is it shooting a code (service engine light)? Oxygen sensor at back of cat. converter, crank shaft sensor or throttle position sensor. Unfortunately sensors are hard to trace. These are the suggestions I recd. for my bravada. it idles great but dies about every 1000 feet or so while driving. cut it off and re-crank and go another 1000-2000 ft. and do it again, will start running rough until you kill the ignition and restart the truck. pretty sure mine is a weak fuel pump.
