It's under the dash in the center. Takes alot of work and requires moving alot of stuff. Go to autozone.com. Register with them. Then look up heater core. It will give you step by step instructions that you can copy or download for help in removing your heater core.

you need haynes repair manual it has pictures and instruction how to remove dash.

Inspect/Replace If it is necessary to remove the heater assembly, the cooling system must be drained before removing the heater core.
When a heater core leaks, a new heater core is installed or the old one repaired.
Heater Housing

• The heater housing is usually under the dash and must be removed to gain access to the heater core.
• Procedures for replacing the heater core vary with the year, make, and model of car. It threfore necessary to consult the manufacturer's repair manuals for the proper procedure for replacement.

The heater housing is disassembled to get to the heater core. Heater Core

• Remove the access panels(s) or the split heater/air conditioning case to gain acess to the heater core.
• Remove the heater coolant hoses.
• Remove the cable and/or vacuum control lines (if equipped).
• Remove the heater core securing brackets and/or clamps.
• Lift the core from the case. Do not use force. Take care not to damage the fins of the heater core when removing.
• To reinstall the heater core, reverse the removal steps.

When the heater core leaks and must be repaired or replaced, it is a very difficult and time-consuming job primarily because of the core's location deep within the firewall of the car. For this reason always leak test a replacement heater core before installation.

heater core is correct dignosis. is it leaking in floorboard? it's located on passenger side under dash, the glove box will need to be removed,that will expose the heater core box. you'll need to disassemble the box that contains the heater core. then go under hood on passenger side and remove the 2 hoses that connect to it under hood. after thats done go under dash and pull heater core out, will look like a very small radiator.if you are not mechanically inclined i suggest you get estimates, this is a very painstaking progress that sounds easy but not.but if your persistent i suggest you purchase an automotuve book, say at autozone or advance auto and follow step by step instructions,fortunatlly yours isn't that hard to do. most cars need the entire dash removed. i'll be online most of day incase you have problems. hope this helps!!!

Hello! Disconnect the negative battery terminal...Drain the radiator and disconnect the heater inlet and outlet hoses at the dash...Remove the blower inlet to firewall screws...Remove the blower inlet, motor and wheel as an assembly...Disconnect the control wires from the defroster door...
Disconnect the vacuum hose diverter door actuator diaphragm...Disconnect the control cable from the temperature door lever...Remove the four nuts securing the heater assembly to the dash...Remove the screw securing the defroster outlet tab to the heater assembly...Remove the heater from the car...

To install...Make sure the heater assembly seal is in good condition...Position the assembly onto the dash and tighten the retaining screws...Reconnect the heater hoses, electrical connectors and negative battery cable; Refill the engine with coolant, start the vehicle and check for leaks...

First disconnect steering knucke under dash. Remove dash assembly to reveal heater/AC case. Disconnect heater hoses from engine compartment. Discharge and capture AC refrigerant. Remove heater case ,replace heater core . re-assemble .

Your heater core is located behind the dash. You need to remove the dashboard and your heater core will be located on the passenger side along the firewall. It will look like a small radiator. Get yourself a haynes manual for good step by step instructions and pictures to remove your dash.

You do not have to do anything with the air conditioning, its all inside car under right side of dash. 1. go under hood and unhook heater hoses and bracket( if equiped) from core tubes. 2. go under dash right side remove 13mm bolt far right under dash thats so you can pull dash out a little ways to get cover off heater where heater core is.3. 1/4 in. socket set and 1/4 in. socket take screws out holding cover on look close there is one hidden top far right can't remember how maney 5 or 6 i think, screws all out use a little finess and remove cover and there will be your heater core. Good luck.

This is a big job which involves discharging and removing parts of the A/C system as well as removing parts of the dash. I had the core done on a 94 Sable years ago and it was a very labor intensive and expensive job. Here are some instructions I found for a 94 Taurus which should be the same thing or similiar, but I don't guarantee that. Please note that these instructions were not tested by me and may contain errors or be incomplete in some way. For example "remove instrument panel" sounds simple but in reality is a process in itself requiring the removal of many screws. Naturally you would have to recharge the A/C and refill the coolant when done.

Removal

1. Remove instrument panel and lay it on front seat.
2. Remove A/C evaporator housing as outlined.
3. Remove vacuum source line from heater dash panel seal (18529).
4. Remove heater dash panel seal from heater core tubes (refer to Heater Case Assembly).
5. Remove four heater core access cover retaining screws and remove heater core cover (18B300) from A/C evaporator housing.
6. Lift heater core and seals from A/C evaporator housing.

Installation

1. Transfer three foam core seals to new heater core.
2. Install heater core and seals into A/C evaporator housing.
3. Position heater core cover on A/C evaporator housing. Install four retaining screws.
4. Install heater dash panel seal on heater core tubes.
5. Install vacuum source line through heater dash panel seal.
6. Install A/C evaporator housing into vehicle as outlined.
7. Reinstall dashboard components.
