It is going to be hard to find someone to instruct you on how to do this, or do it for you, due to liabilty issues. It may be something as simple as a speed sensor (less than 100.00). I would get it scanned and find out what codes you have in the system.

SOURCE: 2000 Taurus: Where is the fuse box in my 2000 ford taurus...

The cabin fuse box is located under the dash on the drivers side and the main fuse box is under the hood in the front of the engine above the radiator on the drivers side

do you whant to disable the air bags or the air bag light on the dashboard?? if you want to disable the air bag mecanism you just have to take the fuse out of the fuse box under the dash or under the hood near the battery.
