SOURCE: My 97 jeep grand cherokee makes a chirping sound under front

The noise and the light may or may not be related. The noise may be the wear indicator on the brake pads touching the rotor (they are supposed to do that when brakes are worn) The abs light triggers off a wheel on the axle end. If you have a bad joint on the axle, it could be noisy and causing the wheel to not have the proper clearance to the abs sensor. You really need to take the wheel and brake assembly off and carefully inspect everything. Make sure all abs sensor wires are undamaged...it doesn't have to be at the same wheel that's chirping.

SOURCE: why does both of the front door speakers sound so

THE DOOR SPEAKERS ARE MADE TO SOUND LOW FREQUENCY THROUGH THE AMP,(60HZ-500HZ). THIS IS NORMAL. THE REST OF THE SOUND WAVES (500HZ -8000HZ) COME FROM YOUR 2 TOP SPEAKERS ON DASH NEAR WINDSHIELD, 2" TWEETERS.

SOURCE: I have power to my

I have the 1995 version and have had the same problem. For some reason, I would be driving down the road and then all of a sudden the sound would cut off. No indications on the radio. For the longest time I drove around without music, then one day I turn the volume up and it worked fine, the unit was resetting itself to the lowest volume setting for some reason.

I pulled the unit, cleaned and tightened all connectors; opened the radio up and resoldered the connection on the power board; and cleaned the connection to the antenna. I don't know which item fixed the problem because I did them all at the same time, but it worked, and so far the problem hasn't returned.

97 jeep grand cherokee no sound from radio tested radio out of car it works. old owner had amp under back seat and cut into speaker wires in harness reconnected but still on sound

You will need to trace the speaker wires to see if they are disconnected anywhere in the harness. are you sure the speakers are OK? Fopr wire locations on the radio try going to: http://www.installdr.com/ They list the pin locations and wore coding you will need.
Good luck

Is there an in-line amplifier for the speakers in a 96 jeep grand cherokee limited w/ infinity gold audio system

Yes, the Infinity Gold series audio systems have a separate amplifier. In my '97 the amplifier is located under the drivers side rear seat.
Note that the amplifier is set to have speaker level inputs as opposed to regular level inputs. Both the amplifier and the speakers are NOT easily mixed and matched with after market components.

Radio won't play sound

chqances are you either have a loose connection under the dash, or if the signal through the amp itself is the fault. the remedy is to remove the deck and look for a bad conection between the two. to isolate the the bad circuit take the speaker wires and bypass the amp. if you get sound you will know that the amp is the problem. if you don't then the deck it'self is.
